The Color 8 Chromexcel service boots look really sweet - anyone got pictures of how these change over time? Really interested in the evo of this leather.

these would look cool with a dainite sole…not sure about this kinda resole job on some high quality boots like these :-\
Are you saying that Seul made that sole even uglier? Cause I'm not sure that's possible.
(Glad you're happy with them, Eli )

I notice @nemesisnow1200 is your avatar Chris…was the shot taken at one of the IH gatherings? Always wondered what sort of shenaniggans went on at those meet-ups. Not as much denim in sight as i'd imagined...

If you'd come to one, you could get the full glory of the experience.

@Cold:
Hey guys, I'm interested in some Viberg service boots in the 2030 last, I've got a few questions:
- I wear 11.5 in shoes like Vans, Converse, and PF Flyers. Am I correct that I'd want a 10.5 in these?
- I've read some stuff (I think on StyleForum) saying that the Service Boot looks weird in sizes larger than 9.5 or so, and I've seen a few examples that look "off". Does anyone here have a pair of 2030 Service Boots somewhere around 10.5, that could give me a good idea how they look?
- What are alternatives I should consider? I want a slim profile boot with a cap toe and Dainite sole, somewhere between a more rugged style and a dressier style, which will look good with slim fitting jeans. I LOVE the look of the RRL Livingston boot, which nails what I'm looking for, but at $990, they're way overpriced. I'd be open to something like the Red Wing Beckman, but I don't mind paying right around the Viberg price range.
@Cold Summer I'm a certified Bigfoot (size 12 Viberg) and imho they don't look weird. I have service boots in brown cxl with a cap toe and they are fantastic.

I'm a 12 in the Vibergs too . With super skinny fit denims your feet may
look biggish . -
Nice this is great.

Word of warning ordering Vibergs without trying on first…I got a pair of 2030 service boots a short while ago in a 7.5. I'm a UK7 - 7.5 in all my other boots (Trickers, C & J). Never been happy with how the Vibergs fit, slightly too big. Ordered mine from Cultizm as I wanted the Oak RO, the 7.5 was the smallest size they had and initially I thought they would be ok but having worn them a couple of times they are definitely a half size too long. Obviously can't exchange them with the retailer now and would appreciate any advice on how to get them to fit better, the 2030 is to shallow for any innersoles I've tried..
