Boot Jacks

@TrickHell:
ELI5: Why?
I mean, I dig it, I just don't get why it improves the process of taking off a boot.
Just makes boot removal easier, that's all! Must admit, I didn't think much of them myself until I purchased one, now I don't know why I didn't buy one years ago, well handy bit of kit, IMO!

All my boots have huge scrapes on the back of the heels from where I would "kick" the right boot off with the sole of my left boot. When I invested in some decent boots, I realized I didn't want to tear expensive leather so I got a boot jack. Best 10 bucks I ever spent - saves the heels from being kicked off and you don't have to bend over or sit down just to take your boots off.
I grew up having them around at almost every "high end" shoe store (since I'm from Dallas and everyone wears cowboy boots) but never thought much of it. Now I wish I had used one for year before. Heck, even my wife uses mine to take her tall boots off haha

Pulled the trigger on the Role Club jack today. Really excited to make taking off the boots way less of a hassle.

Fairly new to the engineer game. Got my Wild Ones maybe 6ish months ago when Giles was selling them for a steal of a deal. Finally bought a boot jack two weeks ago. Best $25 I've spent in quite some time. So much easier to get out of engineers with a jack.
