Liking the sizing myself.

Thanks @BULLITT BEE! This is my first go round with a UHF and so I am a bit unfamiliar with the particular sizings between the workshirt and western variations. I appreciate the information!
@CatKillah the description says a vigorous hot wash should help shrink these up a bit which will shorten those sleeves a tad…otherwise there are always skilled tailors in every city. I know I have had to take my IH items in from time to time to get something taken in, but then it gives me a pretty sweet custom fit.
Nice work on these @Giles I cannot wait to see the other colors this fall/winter!

Dammit, look at the stock numbers… I was happy to watch 4 xl's fly out in 10 seconds flat, happy in the knowledge that I can't buy one; and you have 11 of them! At this rate there might be one left by payday... Which will be a bummer as I'll have to buy it [emoji16]
Seriously though, if that's the shape of things to come (11 xl's for UHF releases) then bravo. Great stuff.

@Dstauffer quick questions about the tailoring. It sounds like you've had success getting heavy weight flannels altered, any luck with denim? Were the tailor (s) able to replicate the IH stitching? The IH shirts tend to fit perfectly except for the sleeve length as well and I'm thinking about getting mine shortened.
Thanks!

@Giles is the western version going to be roughly the same in terms of measurements?
Our westerns are always slimmer than work shirts. Until the westerns arrive, that is all I know…..
-
i have the blue/black ombre work shirt so i don't really feel a need for this one. just hope the sleeve length isn't a sign of things to come for the rest of the UHFs this year. the 126 fits perfectly and the 131 has virtually the same measurements except the sleeves are over an inch longer. ???

@Lag:
the sleeves are over an inch longer. ???
Done on purpose I am afraid…...
:o
I'd forgotten that this was happening. I'm wearing my 126 right now and the sleeve length is perfect on it. Changing this kind of thing must be a hard decision to make and one based on percentages. Personally I'll have to think twice about ordering something with an extra inch on the sleeve. I flip the cuffs on denim and wabash shirts, but chambray and flannels I like to be able to button up.
At the end of the day, it might be a good thing. I'll probably only pick up those UHF with c/w's and patterns that "I must have". The return of the purple people eater being a case in point.

I completely agree. Wrote this earlier this year, overlong sleeves are not necessary IMO (and I have rather long arms).

^This
In general, the BOSS should stop listening people mourning about sizing issues. -
This^^
It's strange to me that people are not happy with the sleeves being "longer" when actually most IH shirts have historically had longer sleeves. The ones that came up with shorter sleeves (127 for example) were the oddballs and not the norm in my opinion.
-
He did not. I decided that we should make the sleeve lengths more consistent with our other shirts…..
First it was David Bowie, then Prince… and now I read the news that all Iron Heart shirts in 2016 will have super duper long sleeves??
The only one not crying is my wallet. And it's not even an Iron Heart wallet, damn.
