is there any other reason to do it as long as it looks good

I saw this custom CX500 on the streets of Melbourne today. There are a lot of these kinds of bikes around, but this one was really tidy.
Harley have been dipping their toes into bikes with more performance recently. The Low Rider S, below, is one of these, although I prefer the CVO Pro Street Breakout, which uses the same engine. I'm interested to see the Roadster, but that hasn't made it to Australia yet.
I'm a big fan of the XSR 900, and there was one in the dealership with a bullet fairing, low bars, and café racer style seat hump. @Giles should get one of these when he passes his test.

BMW R5 Hommage, via Bike EXIF.
It's a one-off custom bike that BMW commissioned to celebrate their heritage. They added a supercharger to the original R5 Boxer in order to give it slightly more contemporary performance.
Their are rumours that BMW are going to enter the cruiser market, so this might be a statement of intent.

that has to be one of the worst bikes i have ever seen

Jiro san's 2006 twin cam Dyna. He rides it to work all year round and there's a possibility i could be renting a bike and going for a ride with him next week!
He got it out of this amazing parking structure that was more like a vending machine! He inputted some numbers and it was delivered to him in seconds!
I hope to be adding some more bike photos from this Japan trip soon!

excellent more biking pics would be great

MCN are reporting that Triumph and Barbour have collaborated on a Thruxton Café Racer. By collaborated, they meant sending it to a custom shop, Down and Out in Barnsley.
The tank strap is a repurposed belt from a Barbour International jacket. It's a nice touch, but an IHB-04 would be a better alternative.

So nice! ^^

So excited for this weekend. Spending Memorial Day in Moab. An acquaintance puts on Motos in Moab. I won't really know anyone so it'll be an adventure for sure. 500 motorcyclists from around the country are gathering.

@summ3rhays and @Sam, we need lots of pictures of your motorcycling adventures, so we can live vicariously through your exploits.
Motos in Moab looks fun. I'm also very jealous.
And those Japanese bikes look cool.

Oh man is that a sweet Bimmer.
Day one of Motos in Moab. Group ride of 80 bikes. Lots of stops due to old Harley's with small tanks. Beautiful weather and scenery.

Bikes of The Works.
too small for Shane
Too small for me!
still a beautiful machine
Jiro san tells me the speedo is useless. It wobbles like crazy!
Haraki san's favorite. From 1985… it's as old as me! and much better looking.
A member of staff has a Triumph scrabbler. In the noise match up it may have lost but Haraki finished by saying it was good for the environment.
