there is a good chance that borderless trading won't change, there is stupid and there is cash… I'm a believer, I know...
and speaking about stupid:
this one just came in:
Terry from Brighton / UK: "Now with the Brexit, you still ship to the UK, right?"
me: "sure I do..."
Terry from Brighton / UK: "Great and there won't be any extra charges?"
me: "no, why should there"
Terry from Brighton / UK: "Great, thank you"his order comes in...
and while I should have known better... went and asked him what he was for, remain or leave, guess the answer now
right, he said LEAVE...

Three I think…..It'll take a year or so to implement what is decided.
However if it all looks like shit, I will set up a mainland Euro operation.

Wow the 555N I was gonna buy will now cost me an extra £9 due to all this BREXIT.

And another great work from DPD….
Delivery of my shirts and jeans was announced for today and I was waiting at home for it. Driver didn't appear to the announced time but then I received a mail saying "delivered successfully to the agreed place". Hell no, agreed place is my home and I'm here without any parcel...
Gave a call to the hotline and the only answer I got before the lovely computer voice I had to talk to cancelled the line was "your parcel was delivered. It should already be in your house. If it isnt there please check your letter box and there will be a message from the driver". Tried another call...out of business time...
There is no message, I'm at home...where the hell is my parcel?
First world problem, but things like this are annoying. -
I'd love to join the DPD bashing, since I had so much negative experience with them. But this time they managed to deliver my 14oz 634 within a day after shipping from Gosport. So to be fair I must give them a big 2 thumbs up.

Thanks Giles. We just found it.
I did talk to the DPD hotline earlier today and the women told me, that they did deliver it at saturday to another address 10 houses away from mine. They told me that somebody (whoever this might be) did ask them to do so. I guess it was the easiest lie the women could find.
However, I went to this house and it was there. The driver did just throw it in front of their door without ringing the bell or leaving any message.
Luckily you always use two of the blue bags. The first one was completely damaged and had big holes.
At least there seem to be no damage to the goods. -
Thinking of moving from UPS to DHL. @Danny RnH did recently and says that it is a million times better.
Any views?

I have had 3 orders come from Danny recently using DHL and they have all arrived when they should of, so can give good reviews. I still like DPD's system of where you get a actually time slot. DHL just says by the end of the day
-
I have not had any bad experiences with UPS so far, can't say the same about DHL.
On the other hand we get DHL deliveries on a weekly basis and I would say 95% are without problems, if you ignore the "you where not home when we tried to deliver your parcel" thing that they all pull off from time to time.

DHL is still in driving distance, for when you need fishing gear in a hurry.
