Love the denim. Hate the shoes.

Thanks Ben @grandmasterben
Sure will [emoji4] -
That definitely won't happen. I just hope they trade those new ugly suede arcs for the old domestic ones [emoji52]

Gents,
I got inspired by @itsbenhere sick fadez on his 3005 and picked up a pair of TFH 3002 at Take 5 in Hong Kong. These are my first pair of flatheads and my first experience dealing with the pioneer denim. I got a tag size 38 because I read that the pioneer denim is known to shrink quite a bit after soaking (for reference I'm a size 36 for my IH 666s).
Here is a pre-soak fit pic. Any opinions on the fit and soaking advice?

Yes Ben - I seek your grandmaster wisdom.

To me that fit looks pretty perfect pre-anything. Do you have the opportunity to exchange it?
If not, my advice is always the same… Hot wash to get out all shrinkage. Then wear it a few days and see if it stretches out. Prolonging the inevitable isn't a good idea and it's good to cut your losses as soon as possible (so you can fade jeans you'll keep forever) and also so you can get some money back.
A size down would've been insane, and that size isn't skin tight, but it does shrink a lot like you've said. If you got the size above that, after full shrinkage it would probably look exactly like how yours does presoak.

Thanks ben. No opportunity to exchange. I'm looking for a slim tapered fit as opposed to a straight leg hence the 3002 fit. Do you know how much shrinkage I can expect from the though and knees though?

Pre-soak measurements BIG style:
Tag size 38-
W 37.5
FR 11.5
BR 15.25
Thigh 13.25
Knee: 9.4
LO: 8.5
Inseam: 38Going to do a luke warm soak for an hour and see how it goes. If I can get the waist down to 36 and thigh to 12.8 I'm a happy man.

@1fookntitefd you can definitely shrink them that much. Why not hot wash it? That way you'll make sure all the shrinkage is out, it's going to fade the same either way.
