The vintage gospel according to H:
Denim has to be woven slow and low tension by old shuttle.
And it has to be the thickest made by this way. (Here H talks specifically about our 18oz)
_I don't prefer exaggerated face with just using thick yarn. It should be normal, natural face too.
Sanforized is also very important so that we can solve the problem while wearing and sticking to old style raw vintage is not first priority. And the sewing should be tough like regular IH heavy oz denim, using core spun and thick thread. Again, if we stick to vintage, we would use cotton thread. But we don't do that.
Mixing old methods and new techniques is IH's "Vintage Style"_
Thanks for explaining it G! Makes a lot of sense and I'm looking forward to the vintage fabrics even more as a result of it.

Low tension weave? So the guess would be more breathable than the current 18 oz?
-
Low tension would mean it should be slubby and irregular much like Oni's fabrics I would guess. Which are great fabrics.

I can't imagine iron heart putting out something super-slubby like that. We'll have to wait and see, but I hazard it will be pretty uniform in texture.

Those indigo corduroy shirts are stunning. I love cords, I love indigo…yep.
Too bad I'd probably have to get those tailored to fit me. :<

Any available intel on the weight and the fabric of the upcoming 718 "heavy" cargos? Does heavy = 16-18 oz.? Anything extinct that's similar to the satin cotton material? Cheers in advance –
