Finally reached my point of annoyance with the Jester King release hype.
Tried getting a couple of bottles of Atrial Rubicite this morning and by the time I got there the line was already maxed out for today's allocation.
It's a good beer but it ain't worth that kind of wait.
Just glad I already managed to get two bottles anyways. -

Glad you found the place. I'm overdue for a trip there myself. Hope you had a nice trip up north!

@Seul , do people in Belgium geek out over beer releases like us Americans seem to?
That line today was where I draw the line with Jester King, no beer is worth being out there at 7 or 8 in the morning when a place opens as noon…
I grabbed a 4 pack of Funkwerks Nelson Sauvin tonight, really impressed with it. Probably will all get drank tonight at this rate. -
I gave up on Side Project releases a year ago, it's out of control. My brother still goes to some of them so I still get to sample what he gets, but damn. It's not a Led Zeppelin reunion.

Tree House is like that a lot of the time. I just assume I'll be standing in a line for hours on any given day even if there is no special release. They do move quick though once they open.

Maybe for the geuzes… I don't visit breweries, so I'm not entirely sure... If I had a car I would be that guy though…
In general, though, there never is much hype or a fuss over a release... It's usually well distributed within Belgium, so there's no need to pick it up at the breweries... I think us Belgians would find it arrogant if a brewery made a release only available at the brewery...
And one last edit: if a release was to cost say more than 15 €/ bottle here, a LOT of people would deem that arrogant as well... I read about that 40$/ bottle (was it Jester King?) release, well, there certainly wouldn't be a queue for that here

I think the most expensive JK beer I've seen at the brewery is 20 USD for the smaller bottles that their sours come in.
I wish I didn't have to make it to the brewery to buy most of their stuff, and I think Atrial gets the biggest line.
Their new coolship beer will surely have an insane line I'm sure… -
Good news for anyone who happens to have any 2015 BCBS regulars or Proprietors left

I had 9 in the cellar all within the date range. Sent the info in today. I paid about 9 bucks each for them. We shall see.

Those go down quick. Fun change of pace summertime beer.
