IH-666S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

Here's Jiro of Iron Heart rocking the 666S-21….
-
Purchased!
I shall be keeping these clean and mostly using them for work. My 25oz 634 are a little too warm this time of year and have developed pretty nice fades…pretty nice fades that have taken them outside the limits of what I can wear when doing presentations!
Size 33. I am a little fatter than usual, so these will need to stretch a bit whilst I shall need to do the opposite...
-
Arrived! Nice and tight and soft.
-
I soaked them in a rather hot bath for about an hour, then hung them up to dry.
Absolutely no change to the inseam or waist.
I shall have them hemmed when I get some time, then start wearing them.
Happy days!

Just received my 1st pair if IH jeans… what an awesome fit.
I am 6' 44R chest and 34-ish waist, and the tagged size 34 is for me (especially once they loosen up a bit)
After a few contortions, I was able to button them up, and now I feel like staying in them for a while.
1st impressions are these are as good, if not better than all the stories I read about IH jeans before I pulled the trigger and purchased them... now that I own these 666 21oz jeans and a navy IHM-10, the next logical step is to try one of the fine-looking IH shirts. Cheers from a newly indoctrinated fan. -
indeed @sabergirl, the "sliding-down-the-slope" has commenced…

I'm planning to get this denim but I have some questions around the thickness of this guy. It says 21 0Z Extra Heavy. Would that mean that this is going to be hard to break in? My first pair of IH was the 555 N which is 17 oZ. Has the thickness got anything to do with fading? I have always felt that my 555 N's rear rise could have been a centimeter and a half smaller and this denim seems to be a bit smaller on the read rise, though I'm yet to try one. So the question is, should I go for this or the 666s in 14 oZ?
-
@Joe I have the 555 jeans in the 21oz and the 17oz natural and,for what it's worth, I found the 17oz harder to break in than the 21oz. I think most would agree that for a fabric that is 21oz it brakes in relatively quickly and easily. There's probably a reason for this that I'm sure has been addressed many times on the forum.

Cool! So breaking in the 21 oZ on the 666S is not a problem.
I had a look at the measurements and the comparison between the 555N and the 666S 21 oZ and I find most of the measurements on the 666S to fit me much better than the 555N excepting the waist. I have a 32 waist on the 555N which is 81.3cm compared to the 32 waist on the 666S-21 which is 83.8 on the waist. The 555N just fits me right on the waist, though it has become a little bit tighter after soaking it. Additionally, it is also mentioned that the waist will increase an inch after wear on the 666S-21. I definitely do not want to get the 31 waist on the 666S-21 as they would be much smaller on the other measurements. Would this 2.5cm bigger waist on the 666S-21 be noticeable?

One final question before I spend the money on the 666S. Should I go for the 14 oZ or the 21 oZ? What do you guys suggest?

I recently bought a pair of the Rivet & Hide collaboration version of the 666s in 21oz and I prefer them to every pair of jeans I've worn before.
The IH 21oz really is lovely from the word 'go'.My white sofa's fucked though.
