@Filthy25ozJunkie nice! Good thing I don't live in Portland anymore, I lived about a minute away from SEPDX.
Did you see the black Wild Child wallet by chance? How thick are they?
Cheers.
@Filthy25ozJunkie:
If you're a slender person: they had so so many nice Iron Heart shirts at SELA.
That store was awesome and the guy working there was super friendly. I brought his some Iron Heart stickers I had to express my gratitude for helping me.
I got to hold that Wild Child TFH wallet and I most definitely gonna have to buy it. They had this short sleeve Wabash Studio D'Artisan shirt I loved but they were way too small.
-
Yeah the small black one was what I saw (and want). The spine is about as wide as my thumb.About 1.25 inches uncompressed. It will flatten out to like around .5 inches in your pocket. It is so so nice.
-
Sorry @QuantumMechanic forgot to tag you. I don't read every post in the forum. Idk if you do. So tagging.

They are really nice wallets. I will post pictures of mine soon on the leather thread. Highly recommend them.

@Filthy25ozJunkie thanks. I'm planning on getting one in the spring, unless something else catches my eye, but so far I'm undecided between the black or tan. Cheers.

@Filthy25ozJunkie or @kiya ,
Does the TFH Wild Child wallet use cow tendon thread? The website doesn't specify (all the TFH wallets state they do). How do you feel it compares the IH wallet? Any chance of a side-by-side comparison shot?I love the look of the IH one but just don't see any need for the coin pouch. The mid-length version is glorious also but a bit too massive for me.
-
As far as I know the mid length does not. It looks like waxed and twisted polyester.
-
As far as size goes take the longest side of a regular bifold wallet and square it. The midlength is almost square.. Almost because the vertices are about .25" shorter.

Sorry, I should clarify… the TFH mid-lengths all say "waxed cow tendon thread." I was wondering if the Wild Child utilizes the same since the description doesn't mention the thread.

Thanks! So less rectangular than the IH folding wallet. And it sounds like it may be about half the thickness.

Manticore, I believe the Wild Child does use cow tendon thread.
As far as thickness, I can pm you pictures if you would like of the overall thickness once they break in.
The Wild Child wallets now use a special nylon thread that's designed for hand sewn wallets, it's over twice as strong as cow tendon thread, which is quite important if you're trying to keep a wallet for many years.

Nice I did not know this. Would my older one have cow tendon?
It's probably 3 years now. Thanks for the clarification.

That would be very kind of you - thanks!

If you're wallet was purchased after January of 2014 then the wallet was sewn together using the special nylon thread Flat Head uses. In the end, both types of constructional thread will last a long time, but the nylon thread has the potential to last 10 to 15 years of constant use without failure, which is quite impressive for a wallet of any kind.

Iron Heart's 10oz Indigo-Dyed Check Flannel, Loopwheeled Blank T-Shirts, & Restocks
Certain to be one of the fastest moving flannels of the year, Iron Heart's new 10oz indigo-dyed workshirt has just landed at our stores. The flannel has been woven at a small mill in Okayama and all the navy/blue parts of the pattern are made of pure indigo-dyed yarn. Over time the flannel's pattern will change slightly as the indigo starts to fade away.
We've also received a new run of heavyweight loopwheeled t-shirts. These are blank and are available in white or gray and go up to size XX-Large.
Along with these new items we've received restocks of Iron Heart's jeans, denim jackets, and vests.

Monitaly Super OG Kush Shorts & Short Sleeve Vancloth Military Shirt
Just in from Monitaly is a pair of very chilled out shorts in a custom printed cotton canvas fabric and a short sleeve shirt made of a water repellent Vancloth fabric. We don't usually carry shorts at our stores in the states but these were too good not to stock.
Both are available now at all five Self Edge stores.

@kiya what white v-neck tshirt is your model wearing in the top pic, and what is the white tab looking thing hanging off his left sleeve?

That's an 8 year old Flat Head v-neck, and that thing hanging off is the folded ribbing that's coming off because the hem thread snapped.

Gotcha.
