IHSH-170 - Indigo Dyed 10oz Check Selvedge Flannel Work Shirt
-
Hello! This is my first post here but I've been lurking around for I while. This is my first IH work shirt and I need some feedback on the fit. It feels quite roomy compared to my 127 UHF but when looking at the pics I guess the fit is fine. I'm mostly concerned about the extra room in the lower back. It's XL which is what I wear in all IH tops. What do you guys think?
Looks great fella.

I agree with neph @QuantumMechanic, looks about a size too big IMO.

^I have an XL coming but I was tempted by the Large. I'll keep you in mind if it doesn't work.

Why am I on the late boat for this one. Giles, will there be a re-up? Anyone with an XL?

It's weird but, I was thinking the other day, "Damn, PETEROCK1 had some sick fits. What happened to that guy?" Nice to see your name pop back up.
I also have an XL waiting for me when I get home. It will in all likelihood be too big but, I succumbed to the hype and had to at least try one on.

Hey everyone, just got this and am thinking it is a tad big all over. My wife thinks it's fine, but she's being sweet knowing how much I like this shirt
Thoughts? Will a hot wash bring it down a size or so?
Cheers
I thought the IHSH-170 measurements were perfect on the site. Once I got it, I really felt like it was too big everywhere except the shoulders for me. I immediately hot washed it and threw it in the dryer. Now it fits perfect and a medium like always was the right size. Hope this helps. The hot wash and dryer did nothing to the fabric (except shrink it). I have a piece of crap top loader and even worse dryer. Never had an issue with washing IH flannels. If I want shrinkage, I hot wash and dryer…

So messed that last post up. Tried to quote with out duplicating your pics. Anyhow @QuantumMechanic I think you might find luck with a hot wash and dryer. It has worked for me on more than one occasion with IH flannels…

Thanks for the feedback guy's. I'm still leaning towards a hot wash and maybe the drier versus sending it back to Self Edge, but we'll see.

We now have a few extra shirts from a cancelled retailer order (well, he was not playing the game, so Giles cancelled him). I am trying to check with all the people who contacted us after missing out when the shirt initially went live.
In the meantime, we definitely have sizes S, L and XXL spare - let me know if you want one of these.

You guys better snap these up before I decide I need (what we call in the knife world) "a pre-need replacement "

@Madame Buttonfly I'm interested in a size L
