Just a quick question:
Anybody had contact with Wijsman lately? I have been trying to get in contact with them over the last 2 months, calling and emailing, and I get 0 responce. I'm a little suspicious at this point, and would realy like to speak with them before sending them my boots.

Hi @scarfmace . Had the same experience and jumped into the deep end.
Send my boots in and Ger responded immediately via Mail.
Discussion was easy and after sending my money in, it took round about 4 weeks (christmas holidays included) that my boots arrived safely back again.
I am very happy with the result!

Hey @Aetas thanks for the info. earlier this month I dropped my boots of at a local guy thinking, how hard can it be and turns out he can't even get the soles I want! I wanted the 430 or 435 on my Wolverines and It took him 3 weeks to get back to me just to tell me that none of his distributors are able to get these soles… I'm just gonna drive to delft one day and drop them of in person :).

Last weekend I was in The Hague and on my way back I stopped by Wijsman to drop off my boots.
GPS send me to a residential area and I was sure I was in the wrong place, however a small Redwings logo by the window told a different story and I entered the shop. Got greeted by the guys mother and made a very friendly encounter.
The shop is small and cozy with at a couple of stars and stripes hanging from the walls. You could tell you where in the right place for some decent handmade shoe repair simply by the smells and the atmosphere of the place.
Ger is a nice guy who was clearly glad to share is passion with a fellow enthusiast. Left my boots in confidence and will send all further shoes his way!
