Very cool score. You're gonna love the Bison. I'll provide more detail when not responding from phone. At least my $0.02.
They black or chocolate?

@mikebarhoot Thank you very much. I would welcome any and all feedback on this leather as I have no experience, but love the viberg 310s.
the seller said these are a very dark brown (chocolate I guess). In my research of Viberg bison boots, I found that they start out black or almost black and then fad to a dark brown.
Looking forward to your comments!

@Dstauffer I have the Viberg Hikers in Bison. Mine are a much lighter shade of brown but as far as the leather goes I love it. It feels more supple to me than steerhide. The size of the grain is also a really nice change from cow or horse as well. It could have just been my pair but there is a distinct difference in smell between the bison and my other boots. The few shots I have seen of darker dyed bison boots do appear to hold their color fairly well and the fading is nice and subtle. Definitely a good boot to have in rotation.

I have some Pictures with some wear, not the current state but the best I can do right now:
The black wax gives way to pretty light Brown, which Looks good somehow, but then also makes the shoes look untidy. That's why I treated them with some Mustang Paste from time to time to keep them darker.

^ @Max Power Very good, thanks!

Black rough out short shifts today -
beauties.
great example of rugged & smooth as heck at the same time.
where is that make up from?
*roping on the denim isn't bad either

@madmonday tnx … Got 'em from the recent sample sale. Tried to google the make-up, but yielded zilch.
Quality seemed prod'n to me, but not so sure since I'm no expert ;).
The last shape & feel, I assumed was on the 110 as I have a pair to compare. But, as I've worn them a few times, they feel/wear more like an actual workboots__ e.g., White Semidress w/noticeable arch support, unlike my Bison Chukka.::) Shudda asked Guy or Frank for the deets.

@tod I found more recent pictures along with my ih-v 04 bot

If I have wide feet (8EE in whites, 8EE in redwing, 8.5 E in Alden Indy –- although this felt a little long and a little narrow)... am I going to be able to fit in any vibergs? they look so nice

Their lasts vary quite a lot, I'd avoid the 2030 but you might be ok with one of the wider ones..

Can anyone educate a complete noob like me as to the pros and cons of stitchdown vs. flat welt construction? For my next pair of Vibergs I was looking at some service boots with a flat welt but a lot of people seem to favour stitchdown construction instead and I don't really understand why. Is this purely for aesthetic reasons or is there something more substantial that I'm missing?

@BrownIcon The style is part of their work boot line, with custom leather… 146 Ironworker with mocha oil tan on a (?) 110 last? Dainite sole. I bet someone could contact them on their workboot website to order some, just saying
