PIH5DCS - 25oz Indigo/Indigo Selvedge Denim Slim Cut
-
Can someone give me a comparison between these and the 18 oz sii? I'm curious if the weave is as tight or looser. I'm debating exchanging a recent purchase for these bad boys.
-
Ordered a pair! Hopefully they'll be here by Monday.

just for my Jeans today. They are awesome. The fit pre soak is great. I like a little room in the waist and this pair nails it. It took me about 25 minutes to be able to button all The buttons. but now I can get them buttoned in a relatively, almost acceptable, to a very patient person, amount of time. They are surprisingly soft. Softer than the double Indigo 18oz used for the 634sii. I'm thrilled to Have them. I will soak them tomorrow and the send them to Railcar for helming and a little tapering from the knee down. Thriilled. Thanks to
Everyone at iron heart UK and all you folks here on the forum. -
Cool. Good to hear they're gonna work for ya.

@jvicente86:
@Matty123 Might want to check with Railcar before you send those in…last I checked they don't work on denim more than 21oz. You can also give Indigo Proof a try.
Thanks J. I inked them a few weeks back and they do work on 25oz. They actually make their own 23 oz jeans now too.

So I soaked them today in 125 degree water for two hours. I kept adding water to
Keep it hot. I also agitated the shit out of them. They drip dried in the 80 degree sun for 4 hours and were completly dry. I only measured the inseam so far and the shrinkage was a little over 1.5 inches. I'm wearing them now. The waist didnt shrink much I don't think. Maybe 3/4"-1" shrinkage. The thighs feel like they shrunk an inch also. They are stiff , crunchy and hairy. But I can feel their soft potential. I'm pumped about these jeans -
Dammit. Missed Joe's pr!

any progression pics/updates for those that copp'd pairs?
-
^^ this! Mine are still out getting tapered. Somebody has gotta have something to show us from this denim.
-
^^ there we go! They'relooking good. Interested to see the evo to come

Great work, D97x7. I only wear mine in the evenings / weekends so I imagine it's going to take me at least another 6 months for my pair to look anything like yours. I doff my cap.
How many soaks have yours had?
-
Many thanks. I've just given mine two hot soaks so far to manage the shrinkage out.
I'll give them some proper breaking-in time and then try a machine wash.
-
I'm continuing to work on my 634B&SRAW so these will stay in the back of the closet until it gets a little cooler. The 16oz loomstate denim is a little too warm in the 80F-90F heat.
-
just got mine back from Railcar. i had them tapered and hemmed to my liking. RC did a great job as usual. they are very soft for a 25 oz fabric. i also find them more breathable than the 18ozII. these jeans are fabulous.

mate you are certainly on the way to indigo glory. wear them everyday? i can wear mine for a few hours after work so will probably take a solid period of 6 months to gain any whiskers
