IH-717-BLK - Black 9oz Selvedge Mercerised Cotton Chinos

Seriously won't fade? As pants I'd actually wear for work, I'd be into that…
I wear 711's in size 32. Would size 32 in these 717's be a good fit considering shrinkage?
Thank you.

Seriously won't fade?
Short answer - Correct
Long answer:
"A dye, which is capable of reacting chemically with a substrate to form a covalent dye substrate linkage, is known as reactive dye.
Here the dye contains a reactive group and this reactive group makes covalent bond with the fibre polymer and act as an integral part of fibre. This covalent bond is formed between the dye molecules and the terminal –OH (hydroxyl) group of cellulosic fibres on between the dye molecules and the terminal –NH2 (amino) group of polyamide or wool fibres."

Got my pair of 33s 2 weeks ago. Wearing them happily in 55 degree weather as well as 85 degrees. Comfortable, well-fitting, excellent fabric and a great pair of pants all around. Had the mercerized khaki chinos in 34, thinking they'd shrink more for my 33" waist – not as much as I had thought (or maybe I got thinner ;D). But the blacks in 33 fit better and shrunk just right. YMMV.
Highly recommended. Get them while they last -- IMHO!

If these only had a coin pocket of some sort.

how did cfk get 1.5" shrink in inseam while the product info says .5" shrink in inseam? Am I reading incorrectly? Thanks

Can a local tailor add one?
I actually wondered the same thing. Like maybe with the extra material from hemming them.

For comfort and breathability. This or the 711 selvedge 11oz? Thanks

We did a shrink test on a slightly large tag 33 at 40 degrees C and low spin cycle.
Waist: 34.75 > 34.1
Front Rise: 11.1>11
Rear Rise: 16>16
Thight: 12.5>12.5
Knee: 8.5>8.4
Inseam: 36.6>35.8 -
I've washed and machine-dried mine multiple times, (thanks, food service), and I'd say I lost a little over an inch of inseam. The color has also become a bit more "muted", if that's possible for black, but there's no wear marks except on the knee where I have to bend down all the time to get stuff while bartending. I will snap pics one of these days.

Semi cross post from the IH sale thread. Picked up the black and khaki 717's, love these things. Should be a great fit after a soak and hem.

These things do not get enough love. Great summerweight chinos.

VansFWIW the initial fit pic posted above this one are a tag size 34. I sold them and bought another pair in a tag size 33 which are the ones I'm wearing in this pic. I feel the 33's are a better fit.

The 717 Chinos are perfection and it's a crime they dont get the love they deserve. These easily get the most wear next to my jeans. The fabric, cut, and versatility is second to none and they come in three colors to boot ….ivory, khaki, and black. Pick your poison. I've doubled up on the blacks and will do the same with the khakis.
With a Buck Mason T and some Chuck 70's. Shown in the sun and shade cause why not?
