IH-718 - Olive Heavy Cotton Satin Cargo Pants
-
^ Damn they look good. In fact, I'm rather sad the measurements on these didn't work for me.
Weight loss making my 714's too big meant I risked the slimmer thigh on the 34 and took the plunge. I was also slightly sceptical of the shininess of the material as well as the fit, but no need. Because…
...these are just fantastic. The material is wonderful, amazingly tight weave and silky smooth. The shininess isn't a thing either. The top block and thigh is a bit more fitted than I'd normally have on this style of pants but fuck it. I love them.
Edit: This material would also make for a magnificent jacket.

Sateen is one of my favorite fabrics. I've always had at least one pair of OG107 type 1 fatigues kicking around, and my vintage M65 is on heavy rotation, too. I'd love to feel Ironheart's take on the fabric. Just wish there was another thing besides cargoes or the B-10. Though I will definitely admit to being tempted by both. Work pants out of this would be an instacop for me.

Sage words indeed re. The work pants!

You can't just post something like this and then not add pictures. Man, that's against the rules! Shame on you. @neph93

Thank you and thank you! I love the boots and I’m not looking forward to packing them away for the winter. The 705 sole isn’t going to play well with ice and snow.
The picture is taken close to a big window, so there is lots of natural light and it hasn’t been edited, so it’s pretty descriptive of how they are IRL. The trousers do have a sheen that reflects light a little, but they are certainly not «shiny».

Took mine to drive some dune buggy in Egypt. Absolutely the right pants for some mad action in the desert.

Thanks Ann!
I usually wear at least a 6" boot so no sock when I sit, just a peak when I cross my leg. But like you said, I think its a mental "getting used to thing".I had the same issue with my first UHF in terms of body length and after a month or so it stopped being an issue and now I actually prefer the body length of the UHF as opposed to my longer length shirts.
