Snap Upgrades

To be precise, you could in theory, but there would still be button holes…
Was hoping a heavy duty snap could potentially take up the space of the button hole…
-
I think it probably could. The nice thing about doing snap for snap is we can reuse the same hole left by the existing snap. To do a work shirt we would have to make the hole, and we have not agreed as yet if we want to take that risk..
Thanks for the info. I've got a UHF workshirt that doesn't like it's buttons and is trying to eject them. I've already sewed several back on. I pulled it out to wear for the season and noticed several other buttons were loose. Before I bit the bullet and just sewed them all back on I figured I'd check on this option.

I have a wabash work shirt that would be willing to volunteer for an experimental buttonectomy and copper snap implantation. Y'know, for science.

It's not an experiment if the outcome is guaranteed, right @Alex? If you think it can be functional, let's go ahead and give it a shot.

The wabash is gonna look pretty sweet with those copper snaps
