DOUBLE DUCK 634 WORLD TOUR

At some point I went by and saw TJ at The Shop in Vancouver. If you are in town make sure you swing by. TJ is giving brands like Iron Heart , The Flat Head , Stevenson, Sugar Cane Mister Freedom, Nine Lives , Gladhand &CO and many more representation in Canada, not to mention he is just an awesome guy. TJ took this picture of me looking oddly serious in front of The Shop(perhaps because it was really really really hot)
A nice view of Vancouver
I finished a Mt Seymour darkside lap on Canada Day down in deep cove and went for a swim here
And spent the afternoon at third beach enjoying some beers and views with friends
Big smooth, a classic North Shore feature on Mt Fromme, a portrait, and some action
And a not so classic, but rad new feature on the rad new Boogie Nights Trail on Seymour
Went biking at some point there in Mission BC, out in the Fraser Valley. Getting out of the city is nice
My friend Jen raced her first full summer as a pro on the bc enduro series this summer and was lucky enough to score an invite to her first Enduro World Series event in Whistler. I went up for the weekend to cook all the meals for her and her partner/mechanic and also my good friend JF. I also found some time to ride bikes and drink beer with JF. Jen came a very respectable 25th and breached the top 20 on the ridiculously technical / terrifying in the dry dusty conditions second stage. One of the lines she took in practice on stage 2 wasnt even getting touched by some of the guys . This was august, unfortunately too hot to wear the ducks. Those are the self edge / sugar cane 11oz okis
At some point after that I cooked this 2.5 pound bone in ribeye after a bike ride with some friends. Up to 125 in a 250F oven and then seared HARD over the chimney starter
I also took a picture of this order I cut for a local resturant , so why not

We are opening a new retail space and eatery this Friday so the last few pics are of our new dry age room. Some photos from brewery and the beast Vancouver (which I sadly did not attend this summer) and some new kitchen porn. The last photo is our signature dry aged cheeseburger. Which I think has too much lettuce on it even if the food photographer disagrees. It's not that much lettuce for real. Come by if you are on Vancouver ! You'll see me in a little glass box most likely wearing a 107, 127 or 86! I'd love to come out and chat.

Thanks for the update @DanielAFC
@_streetshark the next spot has become free so if you want them they can come to you next?

Sounds good! I'll pm @DanielAFC my address.

And last but certainly not least a post wash update on where the ducks stand! They are looking pretty damn good and are still holding up really well structurally for how much they've gone through. Not even really a sign of any holes yet other than the hidden rivets starting to peak which just looks badass. The different hues of blue and white really need to be seen to be appreciated and the patch is looking unreal. I'm going down to Portland this week to see the war on drugs and eat too much food, if they are going to someone in the states now I'll take them down and send them off so there's no mess around with customs and huge delay with the border. I'll probably throw up some photos of some Portland stuff in here as well as a bonus for taking so long!

Great photos @DanielAFC ! The food and biking looks incredible.
Where is your new retail/eatery located? I am in Van for an art show this weekend and I will try to stop in for a burger.
cheers!

Hey Mitchell thanks! Was certainly a full morning uploading everything but at least it's warm now! The shop is in North Van at 180 Donaghy, in behind capilano mall. Be sure to let me know if you stop by!
I'll send the ducks off to @streetshark later this week then as today is a holiday and I'm leaving for Portland tomorowb before the sun is up! Pretty rad that they'll be going for one side of the country to the other!

I enjoyed your writeup @DanielAFC and loved the looks of all that meat. If I make it to Vancouver I'll be sure to drop by to try out your stuff. Well done!

Perfect! I'm excited to see how they're looking in person and spend a month beating them up.
-
So the jeans showed up about a week ago! So far I've worn them while doing some renovations to the house I bought a few months ago as well as at work. I didn't get any picture while doing the renos but I did manage to get some pictures at work. I'm an electrician in the truck shop at an open pit mine. I usually work on 200-300 ton trucks and some times the front end loaders used to load them. I'll try and post again in a few weeks!
-
Fucking hell - you work on some serious machinery!.. Can't wait for more pics!..
Yeah I've only been working this job for about 5 months now so I'm still in awe with it all myself! Im hoping to get into the field sometime this month so I can get some pictures of the mine itself.

That would be mental. I’d love to see it.

Is that the engine out of the truck?

Is that the engine out of the truck?
Yup! Most of them run Cummins V16 ~2400hp diesel engines driving generators which power electric wheel motors.
