An unfinished edge under a baseball cap lining is normal, that area should have been clipped a bit more but it being unfinished and even a bit frayed is normal even on the highest end New Era caps available.

Looks great to me, I'd love one of those. I'm guessing they're not in stock right now from the comments above?

As my hair gets longer and more akward, this has been getting very frequent use. Still loving it and wondering what it might look like with an IH patch on it (if I ever get my hands on one)…
pretty sure the patch I have would slip right through your letterbox without much effort . . .

Actually, Mr. G was kind enough to attach one to the IH apron I just got…
It actually looked really good on the apron, same width as the patch and fit perfect. I was tempted to keep it there, but the hat might be lonely without it... -
