Got some light blues poking through already!
These are likely from the same OG batch as my BB’s judging by the colour. The indigo absolutely flies out of them. I recommend working in them if you can, a days heavy lifting, building, or the like sets combs, whiskers and will start the thighs fading like in no other denim.
It’ll be interesting to see what the 888 batch does as first reports seem agreed that it turned out slightly darker.

I'm in! 888NTs are my choice:
Paid last week btw, @Megatron1505

Is there plans for a pic only thread?

I remember now what happened. The original mill that wove this for us said that they were going to have to stop as the UHR was buggering up their loom too much. Haraki found another mill that agreed to make it, so this current batch of UHR used a different mill (so obviously a different loom).
To all intents and purposes, the warp and the weft were same as we have always used. But there will always bee subtly difference in the cotton and the indigo. This ain't an exact science…

This denim is awesome G! I love it. Not as awesome as the 21 flagship or 25 oz XHS imho. But it is a solid 3rd. But this is just my impression after 4 days… so this might be subject to change after it fades and evolves. It can only get better because I love it.

Check the #DWC2 tag on Instagram….brings out some pretty disturbing images of dolls

If so, do you want us to upload every couple months, and use the instagram tags for the months in between? I would think the thread would get kinda crazy if collages aren't used.
-
I'll start a thread for pic updates.

Hey all, I put this up on SuFu & I thought maybe I should post here too:
Earlier post, more about the denim: https://supertalk.superfuture.com/topic/160960-dwc2-2017-2019/?page=5&tab=comments#comment-3260669
And the follow up:
I meant to have these done four or five days ago but I've been busy. Last night and tonight I got to business, sent my $20 and lo & behold, I have an entry:
18.5oz Kuroki Mills by Jorge Pantalones.
and a quick soak before I wear them tomorrow:
I made these along with 10 other pair. Here are a few process photos:
Cutting table chaos
Setting the run & fell, then I finished it on a Kansai dbl. needle chainstitch machine
My beloved Singer 69-8. I honestly wasn't sure if it would plow through all ten layers of this 18.5oz denim but it handled it with aplomb.
Contest hasn't even started yet and I've already had a blast. I'll get some pics of them on tomorrow when it's light out.
Cheers!
