IHxVS777S-21 - 21oz raw SBG Super Slim Tapered Cut - A Vater und Sohn Collab
-
@illo59 Yes indeed, I haven't worn them very often, but there's definitely stretch in them.
-
@Jett129 the VS777 was the only one i tried so can't really say. But yes, that might be a reason. Also i'm not a big fan of most super slim-jeans but these seem to look pretty decent… or the sizing wasn't the best... I don't know. I guess I'll have to try again.
@Max Power Thanks! You should wear them more often, it's imo your best fitting jeans- judging from the pictures in the forum.

Thanks mate - I think you're right! I wish however the backrise would be a tiny bit higher, other than that they're a fantsistic cut (that I never thought would work on me).
-
These look so good on almost everybody, why didn't i like them when i tried them on? really want these but i am afraid i can't make the cut work for me… i assume that these stretch a good bit like always with the 21 oz denim?
I have found the 21oz SBG to have the most stretch of any IH denim I have had. My 8301s, once about 4 weeks old, had stretched 2+ inches in the waist, and nearly 0.5 in the thigh. A hot soak brought them back close to pre-wear sizing, but stretched back quick.
-
Exactly. Mine shrunk a bit after the soak but stretched back to (and a bit beyond) raw state. I'm still waiting for them to get super soft and comfy as the 21 oz Indigo denim. However, I recall the 555-03 to feel a bit stiffer even after many wears. I guess a machine wash would solve that problem, but I'm afraid of washing marks at an early stage.
-
i remember them to be bit loose in the waist but a bit tighter that i'm used to in the thighs… i could need stretch in the thighs but don't think i can tolerate much in the waist. ::) i wear the 21 oz denim atm on a daily base which i like best after washing but after about 8-10 wears they tend to be very loose everywhere. i ask myself if going a size down would help much or if they'll bee uncomfortable in the long run.
thanks for the input everybody.

If it helps - my 35 has a 37 waist which is normally 1" too wide for me. In this cut it makes the cut work as it gives me mobility in the top block. I wouldnt want to size down
-
good point, i normally prefer a loose fit too @Max Power - I hope i can fund them after christmas and will visit constantin and sascha for a few fittings
-
@illo59 feel free to shoot me a PM when you go there, maybe we can meet

Vater und Sohn have been churning out some quality collaborations with Iron Heart.
These jeans are awesome (despite my problem with the rise)
and the 187s are an original take on the beloved shackedthanks for the correction @Alex

This is what I'm saying. With low rise jeans like this I can 1" to almost 2" bigger in the waist than a higher rise jean.

I have to as a matter of fact. It's the only way they are comfortable and the only way the thighs will fit me.
