Thanks buddy, they're heavy duty, make chucks feel like slippers.

Not as much to show as @johnny5799 but aftwr two weeks of constant wear in these cold and snowy days they are broken in and easily the most comfortable and imo best looking boot ive owned so far.
Thats also what i hate about them - i got ideas for at least 5 new pairs already.Oh, the laces start to crack already. Are the speedhooks suitable for leather laces? They look pretty narrow.

Cool. Ill give it a try!

I have never had a roughtout boots. Could someone tell me how this type of leather resists water, mud or melting snow?
wouldn't it be a nightmare to clean it from mud, because it is hairy surface?
and in case of flat leather I can applie some gutalin on top of the leather and make it more resistant from water and have better protection, how to be in case of roughout leather? -
The general consensus is to do nothing except brush out mud, dust and grime. Using waterproofing, wax etc changes the finish of the leather drastically. A suede brush/eraser is all you need. That’s the genius of roughout, very little maintennance, even in tough conditions.
I have a pair of roughout Viberg boots in a similar colour to these that I’ve used for three winters, for everything from daily use to mountain hiking. I’m away from home for a few days but can post a pic next week. They look great though.

thank you for information, maybe my next boots going to be made from roughout leather ::)

I wear my Roughout Vibergs in rain, mud, and dirt. The eraser is great for little dust and markings and the brush gets the leather pretty darn clean. I did spray wish Red Wing waterproofing spray with no discoloration.

Roughout has been the easiest leather to clean and maintain of all my boots. Just rub/ brush dust and mud out.

If I wanted to get a custom build of this boot, what would be the best way to go about that? Go through IH or contact WESCO directly? I watched their video on doing the measurements and it looks like something my wife and I could handle hopefully without screwing up.
-
I would go directly to @Chris at Wesco in this case. But beware, Wesco do not stock these soles and have to be provided….
