This quote is rich. Provenance isn't important? Dude, you pushed your entire brand on 'made in America,' but now you're getting a lot of your stuff made in Portugal and China. What a hypocrite.
And wtf with provenance?? they're jeans not Ming fuckin vases ::)
to be fair, even though the clothing we buy can't be compared to priceless antiquities I do believe that provenance is important. I certainly don't speak for anyone here but one of the reasons I like IH is because of where they're made and who is making them.

Saw the opening of an NBC tv show"Taken" and this guy looked like he was wearing an IHSH-176. ??? Crappy old tube tv so couldn't be sure

Not sure if anybody has pointed this out here yet or not. I was looking at the Wikipedia page for denim on a whim and I noticed the second image from top on the right side of the page. Instantly recognized the IH western shirt construction, and sure enough, it is indeed an IH shirt. IHSH-27BK to be exact.

I'm speculating because, in addition to the color, if you look closely at the picture (next to his sunglasses) it almost looks like it's the Iron Heart tag on the pocket. Or, maybe i'm just seeing things that aren't there

Yes. The pic was Cantrell from chest up, with a clear shot of the Iron Heart pocket tag.
If I can find another copy of the pic, I'll try and modify my previous post.
