I was really hoping Kiya would run the 6xxx denim in that straight tapered (which I did size up in for that collab denim). Someone tag him. It would be awesome if a broader range of body types could wear these amazing denims.

Could not resist getting the SG 6105 - very slubby and low tension 16,5oz denim, feels def. heavier. They felt really comfy from the start and also stretched a bit real fast. I‘m really happy with the way they fit, the cut is a very good one for me (slim, no ass )
I‘m really looking foward to how they will age, due to the slubby and rigid texture they already started to fade in some spots. Great pants!

Awesome backdrop @illo59 !!! How was the walk on the bridge? Looks fun.
Oh yea nice pants

Great Picture @illo59

Haha, the bridge was swaying pretty much due to wind and many many people running over it. Did not cure my acrophobia lol @RoxRocks86
Kudos to my wife who took the photo @Max Power and yeah @rocket - One of my all-time-fave grinders, their album never gets boring [emoji4]
Also tried to catch some better pics of the denim, but iPhone pics kinda look crappy in 11 out of 10 pics. 15-20 wears:

It’s already 5105 weather.

Not much evo since the last time I posted these (and I see the links are broken anyway) but I had to patch these and bring them back to life. The denim feels like velvet. SG3105 with crotch and thigh patching. Only wear these in casual situations. They are my fiance's favorites. She even took these pics without rolling her eyes!

Jeans looks fantastic - ecstatic to see you still rocking your Road Champs

Need a re-sole on the heels! I already had to do so on the Lofgrens
-
Thanks. Almost never. Maybe like 5 times over a few years and an initial soak. I wash when they stink and mine are slow to do so. Woolite dark, cold, minimal or no spin, hang dry. Cheers!

5105’s
-
They look like they fit really great, though! (visually)

@illo59 where'd you pick those up? I see they still have the red tab on them. It's so annoying that Levis puts the kabosh on that kind of thing for stateside-sold jeans (I'm guessing that's also why Oni doesn't put arcs on their US orders either).
I really like the look of those, and some of SG's more even-textured denim in general. Well, even textured is maybe the wrong phrase — I mean the ones that are less crosshatched. Psyched to see how those develop for you!
-
@popvulture i picked them up from statement, munich. They hace a great texture and a great fit but somehow i just don‘t wear them very often. The red tab was cut off sadly - i tried to sew it back in by hand. Works for me but i think soneday it will fray away… levi‘s law is a bummer.
Fade status:
-
Found an old pair of 5105 (horizontal weft super slubby short staple cotton) that I retired after a crotch blowout. The denim was almost stretchy and crocheted blanket-like from the jump, which made them very comfortable right away. The nature of the fabric makes the fades kind of fuzzy. Great vertical falling.
I can’t wait to see Haraki’s slub challenge the Onis of the world and do so with IH robustness.
Going to get them fixed up and back in rotation.

Nothing to not love about those aye
