Iron Heart - USA
-
When we were in Japan a month or so back. Haraki, Paula and I agreed that we would split responsibility for USA.
IHJP will run Ignition (with minimal involvement from IHUK)
IHUK will run the IHUSA online operationToday I initiated the creation of Iron Heart America LLC which will be based in Cheyenne Wyoming (first question from @Madame Buttonfly was "is the fishing good there per chance")
I have also registered www.ironheartamerica.com
Once the LLC is created, we will open a bank account and credit card processing facilities in USA.
Then we will create a US centric version of the website which will look and feel essentially the same as the current site (users will be able to flip between the sites if they want - the header on each webpage will have something along the lines of "which country are you buying from). The important thing here is that US customers will have their credit card transaction dealt with by a US based credit card processor. That may sound like a small step for mankind but it's a giant leap for Iron Heart….

Nice!
But seriously…why Cheyenne, Wyoming? I think Phoenix, Arizona would have been the much better option....cause uhhh, the fishing here is great...lot's of lakes and stuff.... cacti too.

We have no customers in Wyoming, so no need to set up sales tax stuff. Plus Wyoming is super business friendly (and personally I think it looks cool as shit…..

I can drive to Cheyenne in a couple hours. That's cool!
Apparently "Yeezy" is locating a store there as well.
Great fly fishing not far from there.
-
Will you be able to ship from Gosport, but have the transaction considered American because of the website/card processing/banking solution?
Yes, exactly. And the new shipping solution we are discussing will be next working day to anywhere in the contiguous US. And personal non accompanied tax free import into the USA is $800, so no worries there….

We can fly non-stop from London to Denver and drive to Cheyenne (meant to be a pretty drive)….

That actually surprises me a bit. Seems like the kind of place where IH gear would do well.

It's not bad. You can detour to the Poudre Canyon for some fly fishing or rafting on the way do see some serious natural beauty. I'm excited for you and hope to see y'all!

Cool. I've only been to Devil's Tower and it's a sight to behold. You'd only be about 5 hrs south.
As to the fishing, found these via google:
http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/wyoming/amazing-fishing-spots-in-wy/https://www.travelwyoming.com/things-to-do/fishing
I'm sure there are a ton of fishing spots known to the locals so I guess you'd have to ask them :D. My former father in-law, who is an avid fisherman, keeps his fishing spots a secret, so you may or may not get answers

So cool to see the brand growing.

Nice move. My office is based in Golden, CO. I have done the drive to Cheyenne, and still to this day is one of the most scenic I have ever done in the USA.
Thinking about the drive, I think it gets better traveling north of Cheyenne.

Wyoming is a GREAT spot for your business to be set up. They Love small business in WY, so your taxes should be quite manageable.
Plus, yes - it’s beautiful out there.
