As there is some IH-WORLD TOUR POWER 888;666;T*5 at the moment….
... I contacted @neph93 today.
I was unsure about the 'hanging theme' I was driven in.
It felt a bit like an "Autobahn Stau" at the moment. Thanks R for your response.
Grabbing a board and enjoyed the evening sun. Took the last four pics!

Gefühlt… Endspurt
I come across this door very often…
..and I always wonder about these two different colors of the bricks!
After Nightingale mine was closed 1890 a brick yard was build there. Shale, lime and sandstone for the bricks could be found nearby. Up to 11 million bricks left the brickyard per anno. In these 60 years of existence, this double ring kiln was feeding the need of bricks in-between the industrial revolution and the after WWII era.
Inside the ring kiln- The Yellow bricks are produced with sandstone….
The red bricks
Outside of the ring kiln

Still on the way to our vacation location. Should have been a 4 hour trip. We are on the road now for 7 hours and still at least 1 hour away from our destination, since the highway is closed because of an accident.
Oh, and one hour after we started our son threw up in the car, covering my himself, the seat, my tripple aug backpack and my brand new hiking boots in vomit.
Great start for a vacation.
Denim related the wife and I both like the tour jacket very much.

First day in Pfronten. We went for our first hike on the Breitenberg. For the first part we used the lift.
Next stop was the lookout point.
From there we hiked up to the Ostler Hütte at 1838 Meters altitude.
After a good "Brotzeiten"
We went down again over a different track.
And now some random pictures of the beautiful Alps.

Wow! That distant switchbacking path in the fourth 'random alps' pic looks like one of the greatest hiking segments ever! That would be an absolute blast to ascend.

I was told that this one is for experienced hikers only and I absolutely believe that. I would probably die of exhaustion half way up, if I would make it that far at all.

Yeah, it looks pretty extreme… especially for descending the same way! Still... hiking's always more fun with a slight pucker factor

I’d have to have a cheeky go at a yodel if that was me! :o

The kids decided to have a fight at 6:15 this morning, so we grown ups decided that, if we are up anyways, we can visit Schloss Neuschwanstein before the tourist madness starts.
Turned out, that even at 8:00 it is allready madness.
Nice sight on the way to the castle.
Up there it was even more tourist madness.
We didn‘t bother to go to the Marien bridge to get the Disney view at the castle after we finished our tour through it, because by 11:45 it looked like 20k people where on their way to the bridge.
A view from one of the balconies.
