Today we visited the ruins of Castle Eisenberg und Hohenfreyberg and visited two huts, for the kids to collect the last two stamps to get their golden hiking needle. They walked 6 or 7 km today without complaining to much, even though we did walk a lot the last 5 days. I‘m very proud of them.
At first it was much to warm for a jacket, but after we ate at the second hut and I had to walk back alone to get the car (because the kids couldn’t walk anymore) it was fresh enough to wear it.
The start
From Castle Eisenberg you can see it‘s sister caste, Hohenfreyberg.
This is Castle Eisenberg
After Castle Eisenberg we visited Castle Hohenfreystein.
Nice view from the castles
More Kaiserschmarren
Finally fresh enough to wear the jacket

Today we visited the ruin of castle Ehrenberg and the Line179 bridge (Europe‘s largest rope bridge).
The ruin of castle Ehrenberg is beautiful and full of green. The view from there is pretty amazing.
The rope bridge was great fun for the kids and me. My wife is not a big fan of heights. She made it to the other side, but refused to take pictures on the way, so it is mostly crappie selfies and pictures my eight year old daughter took.
Some nice panorama shots:

Bump. Where are you jacket??

I got a parcel today, which should be the jacket. I'll Keep you posted, but it won't see any wear as Long as we're in over 30°C here…
Oh, @Cole lovely updates! I used to live not far from the Ehrenberg ruin and loved that place. The bridge didn't exist then however.

After the second day of work, a lot of heat and a workout i came home pretty exhausted to find this.
What's inside?
Nice tunes, a beer that I've never tasted before and a huge and warm looking jacket with a lot of great fading going on.Quick fitpic while celebrating friday still in gym clothes with a local beer (translates to "hero").
Next possible update might be from Berlin, where i will visit the Tattoo convention , meet Shige and get tattooed by him at my friend uncle allan. If nothing went lost in translation that is. However I will probably not need that jacket while it feels and looks like the desert out there.
Cheers
