IH-816 - 17oz Duck Work Pants
-
I would like to reiterate my desire for a denim work pant. Preferably 21oz. Or 25oz. would be dope.
Or the 18oz…. Or 14oz...
I mean, ANY of the denims, really, lol

Love the 816 cut as well!
I originally wanted the 816 brown duck work pants… Not in stock. So i got the 801 brown duck loggers instead. Still wanted to try the 816 work pants so I bought the 816 GRY. They fit so well I copped 2 pair. Then got the 816 black wabash.
Then the 816 brown duck pants I originally wanted came back in stock... only 1 pair in my size. Copped instantly. No regerts!

Hello all:
Question for all of you. Do these look too baggy? Maybe I'm not use to wearing work pants, but they are much roomier than most of my jeans. Thoughts?

Thanks for the comments. I guess I am more used to a slimmer look. The fabric is awesome, though. Much better than the Naked and Famous I had.

Just to echo what’s been said, it looks like they fit like they’re supposed to. The workpant cut isn’t a jean cut. If you want a duck jean cut that is slim you have the IH-666D or the upcoming IH-777D which is slim tapered.

Ah, thanks for the suggestion. I starting to warm up the the idea of having something different, especially since they aren't denim. But, who knows, maybe I should also get a slimmer option, too!

How much will these shrink and stretch in the waist? I'm stuck between 34 or 36

neph93 suggested less than denim, but potentially up to an inch. Don't have experience with the 17oz duck, myself.

They stretch a little but not anywhere near as much as denim. They may tighten a little in the wash but don't shrink. So if you add .5" to actual measurements that should be close to what you end up with…

A size 35 would be perfect. I guess i will go 36 or find a different pair maybe the herringbone logger. Can't do anything for a month or 2 until I'm back to work and the IH-634-XHS size 35 is back in stock.

@neph93 Ok so if they were wet and under pressure do you think i could get and inch + of stretch in the waist?

It’s difficult for me to say for sure. I think over an inch is very optimistic. An inch should be ok with patience and effort.
Tell you what, I have my 666D on today. They are a few years old and well worn. I can measure them and compare with the OG, when new measurement.
