Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?

Indigo wool would be cool but I think black is a safe bet. Would love if it had storm cuffs as well (I believe that's the norm tho).
Re: wool potentially not selling well - part of me thinks that might just be the m65. There have been a lot of M65 offerings as of late, so people may have had other iterations. Plus, wool is often seen as a more "formal" outerwear fabric, so I wonder if people thought the fabric and design didn't mesh.

I saw woolen awards jackets in the outlet as well. Don't know what is driving the lack of interest, but there was not disjointedness in materials and cuts as far as I'm concerned in the Melton M-65. Didn't the denim one do well, or at least pique a lot of interest? If anything, that seemed more disjointed to me.

That’s very true. While an actual USM woolen m65 has probably never been a thing, a denim one certainly hasn’t. Also, wool is a military field jacket staple in Scandinavia and the UK. The vintage Norwegian m43 analogues in wool are beautiful.
There are some fantastic m65 iterations coming from IH in the FW18/19 season, in some very relevant fabrics (duck for example
). Wool is also making another appearance soon as a peacoat and there’s no better match than that. Exciting times for jacket fans.

There are lots of grey, black, & navy wool outerwear options out there. There are few or no indigo options.
Indigo-dyed cotton is great, but it obviously doesn't have the same characteristics as wool and it's not as useful outdoors (at least here in Seattle…) Now, waxed indigo cotton... hmm... :-\

Another medium weight unbrushed flannel work shirt - eg IHSH-201 in a different colourway - would be great - 201 is really versatile weatherwise.

Just spitballing. The Kersey did well:
Charcoal Kersey “Untucked” work shacket
Quilt/blanket lined body
Unlined sleeves -
I’d buy that.

IHW-02 I mean. Is it my ineptness with iPhone or does tapatalk suck?

Could be both [emoji1]

I would like to see a workshacket version of the IHW-01 (Wool CPO). All details the same (Same buttons, not snaps), but instead of western, a workshirt.
Also, I would love to see the IH "field jacket liner" (IHJ-30) make a return.

Question:Has it ever been considered to make a purpose built inclement weather "clothing system"?
The US Army, and I imagine other militaries around the world, have a cold weather clothing system that is designed with layers that gradually add warmth and protection, and can be worn as a system, or as individual pieces. Below is a link to what I'm referencing.
https://adsinc.com/product-category/apparel/clothing-systems/gen-iii-ecwcs/
The first 2 layers, and the last one can be ignored.
Even just adding a microfleece jacket and a gortex shell to the current line-up would close the loop and basically be what I'm describing.
