IH-101J - 1946 101J Riders Jacket

@wdw:
I'd love an IH storm rider (added corduroy collar and horse blanket liner).
Yeah, I'd go for a storm rider too.
Agreed, although I could go either way with the blanket lining. The corduroy collar is dope though.

If you like black denim, you can have a look at its black counterpart: IH-101J-BLK.

Here's the final result of my 1-year hard wear exercise. I'm very happy with it and now feel that I can work on my 526J for a while.
And now compared to 1 year ago…

Wdw, perfect update, the side by side photos are great…nice job knocking the newness off

Got to echo that which has already been said . . . Great work wdw [emoji112][emoji112][emoji112]

Thanks for all the kind words, guys. It's at a place where I don't need to work on it any more, which is great. It all augurs well for the upcoming Storm Rider, which should look great once it's worn in.

Hello all.
I thought I would post my 101J.

@Indigohuntsman it’s a great looking jacket. Well done.

Thank you neph93.
And I'm glad that I had bought it in time

Thank you Kind Sir.
And would it need washing whilst still new, or when needed?
-
I think it could benefit from an Initial soak, as the fabric is pretty stiff and it will surely drape perfectly after that. I would do it right away, that way you have all the shrinkage out before you start wearing. But if you do, make sure to soak it first, turn it insideout and wash it gentle without too much spin.

Hello Max Power and thank you for the advice.
Does it need to go in the washing machine or can I just soak it in the bath tub, like I did with my Jean's?
-
Soaking in the tub is ok, but the machine brings out the max. shrinkage.

Thank you Max Power, that's good to know.
Any preference temperature wise, and with or without detergent?
The only gentle wash on my machine is at 30° silk with a 400 spin or I could use another temperature and rinse hold it or the quick wash is at 30° - 15 minutes?
