Good to have choices. Now I’ve worked out how to size and hem the 888 in the best way for me it’s my absolute favourite cut. I’m angling towards the OD as I don’t have any jeans in that, but XHS in the 888 is also hard to resist….

I can't count, nor do I want to count how many pair of IH jeans I own, but I have a habit of adopting a behavior and tossing away the reasoning and now I'm wondering whether I've been doing things kinda incorrectly, which is a long way of saying "I've got an embarrassingly noobie question for you guys".

Should I size down slightly and stretch the jeans to get the ideal fade/fit?  I ask because all of my recent purchases have been for jeans that already fit out of the bag.  So, if my fully stretched thigh measurement is 12.5", should I be buying a ~12.5" thigh or would it be better to go with a ~12.3" thigh and get that stretch?

I want to pick up a pair of these and the OD 888S and both of them have size that would fit comfortably right away and a size that would be a little tighter but I think I could stretch out to my preferred size.
