Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
-
I would have a hard time passing up a gym version of the IHE-38 (Black Cordura Ballistic Overnight Bag). Same length as the current bag (18.5”), but squarer instead of laptop-y, so maybe 10” x 10” instead of 13” x 4”. Compartment at one end that stretches into the bag, either for gym shoes or (as I would use it for) my lunch. Plenty of pockets, black and orange like the current bag.
I use a bag like this every day but it’s a POS and would love an IH version- it would see a lot of use.
Thanks!

How about an indigo serge modified type III with corduroy collar?
-
I would love to see a grandad type of shirt, the type with buttons only halfway down. Can't think of an appropriate type of fabric, but maybe a chambray or a light wabash.

Are you talking about a shawl collar cardigan?
-
I mean a shirt and I think the collar type is called a band collar. I tried finding the cheesiest photo I could find… but I am thinking of the one with buttons that go halfway down.
-
Oh ok, yeah I know what you mean now.
-
Well since I'm on the idea of it now, I'm officially throwing in my vote for a shawl collar cardigan. I think an H designed shawl collar cardigan could have the potential to be pretty epic.
-
I was on the fence about buying a Dehen shawl cardigan this year, but I am always worried that sweaters don't hang right on me if the fabric gets out of shape. But they are smooth looking.
-
Yeah I get what you're saying. From what I understand RRL makes some of the best fitting shawl cardigans around. The possibilities are endless as far as fabric design as well. Smooth looking indeed.

Popover with banded collar!

Shirt sounds more like Mr. Freedom and less like Iron Heart.

Agree with this ^^^^
Those popovers and that style collar aren't my style. Although it could be argued that IH does venture into the "old west" vintage realm with wabash pants and western shirts to name a few examples.

@Giles has stated a few times over the years that he's interested in the idea of a denim pullover shirt, it just hasn't come to fruition. But, either way I don't think it would have the Catholic priest clerical collar, lol

@manufc10 you're right, there's no doubt that American workwear is a big part of IH and wabash is certainly from that time period. I think the difference is what they do with it.
Compare IH westerns to MF westerns for example. MF cuts are more flamboyant and stylised. The IH style and cut is much less vintage and retro.
The way IH use wabash is on designs that are more rooted in 20th century designs (painters pants, work pants, work shirts etc).
