634s-21s are my own benchmark too. I"m wearing the same jean today but not the exact same one, 'cause that would be weird.
IH makes so many great fits and, luckily, they all work for me. I think 666 is especially popular but that's the one that somehow works less well. I'm hoping for an 888, that's what I haven't tried yet.

I thought the rear pockets are supposed to be lined, I have two pairs and neither are lined just curious. Also wanted to say that for years I have been trying to find a pair of iron heart jeans that fit me perfectly and there was always something wrong leg opening to big talking 10 inches lying flat, I love the golden 8. Knee to tight, thigh to tight rise to high 1955, rise to low 666, plumbers ass crack when sitting,888 knees to tight, and the rest not having waist over size 40. My body is in perfect proportions except for a little extra in the stomach drink too much mead, Viking size LOL, 6 foot 2 inches, 235 LBS, 42 waists. Most Japanese jeans are sized for Asians, no ass and chicken legs LOL, Then I found Rail car goods and now I get every pair of IH634S tailored for a perfect fit. They do awesome work for a good price. I am so happy to finally enjoy iron heart 21 oz jeans. Now Iron Heart has to make belts to fit 42 and 44 inch waist you should make your belts up to the largest waist size you produce.UHF fit perfect XXXL, I have amassed a collection wear them all winter. Sorry for the rant, too much mead, LOL.

Haraki never used to line the rear pockets of the OG products. Only when I started speccing jeans and requesting lined pockets did it happen. The IH-634S, never had lined rear pockets and still does not because we have not revisited the original design. At some point, we may, but that is a Haraki decision.

I just realized I've been wearing the same pair of 634s since 2015…
some pictures or links to old pictures would be greatly appreciated.

@gautamkrisna the image size is probably too large. I change it in the phone settings or use Android Photoshop Express to make it smaller. Open the picture and re-save it and there will be an option that pops up to limit to 2080 pixels or highest quality available (too big). 2080 is fine.

Still my favorite

Yeah the OG 21oz is still hard to beat. I can’t wait until my 666S-21’s get to that stage. Well-worn IH 21oz anything is sublime.

These will be my next purchase not sure what size to go with yet

From what i see on here they look like my 25oz samurai

I have the Samurai S510XX 25oz. The cut is somewhat similar to the 634S, yet different. The S510 has roomier thighs and hips and a slightly higher rise. The waist-to-hip ratio on the S510 in smaller than the 634S. I can wear a 33 in both, but the thighs on the 634S are tighter. Although both denims are what I consider to be plain weave with no irregularities built-in, they look and feel different, are different colors, and age quite differently. Some of these differences are very subtle and may not even be discernable in measurements, but are noticeable when wearing.

@mpukas how do they compare weightwise? 25 sam prob feels pretty much the same as IH 21oz?

I want to buy a pair of these with a waist size of 40, but out of the 4 pair you have I want the largest or closest to a 41 inch waist. How do I let you know at purchase and is there any way you could let me know what the largest waist size you have in a 40 before I purchase them.

My IH-634S with about 2 years of daily wear and no repairs.
The 634S are my work jeans so they spend the majority of time in the studio but I also wear them for carpentry and skateboarding. These are wider than I normally prefer but that little bit of extra room makes them the most comfortable jeans I own.
