IH-526Lod - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo Overdyed Black

Warm weather is upon us….so the jacket will have it's slumber soon.

Just got this. The amount of character it has straight out the box(bag) is amazing. It will be fun to see this age. The denim feels very dense. Wonder if even a tiny bit of stretch are in them. Over all very happy with this jacket, smiling since the UPS man arrived.

I have jeans made of the same denim (non-od) and despite the dense starting point it softens, relaxes and loosens very nicely.

I really like NNN patches, but they are so hard to get and are expensive. Then I started my internet digging for patches with an aesthetic I liked. Got the speed skull along with some of the others at an Etsy shop. I love her aesthetic and the patches lived up to my expectations when I received them. My only gripe is they took a long time to ship. It's nice to be aware of this if you get something. But when you get it you'll be happy.

Speaking of patches, I was inspired by yours and picked up one of these for my 526Jod: https://www.etsy.com/listing/458067090/vintage-inspired-cat-patch
What's the best stitch to use to sew it on properly? Also should I pick up any specific type of needle to go through that 21 oz denim?

Cool chainstitch patch! I used a basic sewing needle, thick gauge. I’d recommend a thimble to push thru thicker areas like seams, if you are placing over areas like that. If you goto your local art/crafts store they can help you pick out thread. Usually it’ll be a sweet older lady that will happy to share any info with you. [emoji1417]
