DWC2 - Picture Updates Thread
-
Hey Mike. Definitely looking to start working on my PIHDCTs and 777S-21 after the DWC
@Filthy Thanks and good question. I too plan to focus attention elsewhere. The main issue for me (and why they haven’t gotten a lot more wear) is that this particular pair of 777 is a bit tight in certain regions. Not the most comfortable, probably not the best decision for a two year contest. I just didn’t have any other options at the moment, and was not able to afford anything else. I’d still wear them of course, really like the denim, but if I’m doing anything slightly athletic, I choose a different pair.
That's cool. I am kind of eager to see if there will be another HWDC and what they have in store or if this will be the last one. @neversummer seems like 888 cut would suit you better then. I kind of wish they would do some double rope dyed indigo 21 oz. denim for the next contest. If I was rich I would buy a roll of that and pay for a whole run of jeans to get made. (And give them to anyone that I have had any meaningful interaction with since I have been a member).

@Filthy I hope there is another one too. Two years is really an ideal time with plenty of potential wear days- a great way to see what becomes of a pair in that time. So who knows? I’ll keep my fingers crossed! Your theoretical pair sounds awesome- I seem to like darker denim, either black/black, black/indigo, or indigo/indigo. Though I thought it would be fun to wear a white pair for 2 years without washing. Guess that would be sort of a reverse fade in the end, with the denim gaining color instead of loosing it. @Fadez pair looks awesome, and is similarly interesting in my mind being overdyed to start.
I’ve tried the 888- think it’s not good for my body type. I have the 777UHR which have just a little more room in the thighs and crotch and are much more comfortable. Also like the 555 and 666. -
Update on my PBJ x BOW collab jeans.

@Vagrant I am sincerely blown away by your pair. Those are some of the best faded jeans I've ever seen.

@Filthy:
@summ3rhays @Fadez @neversummer great updates guys. Are you looking forward to the end of the contest and moving on to the next pair? Or do you plan on wearing them for a long time afterwards?
I will definitely continue wearing them. From time to time, I still break out my 25oz MBB from 2 contests ago. Mostly for motorcycle rides.

@Dion @Filthy - Cheers! They're practically a second skin now. I'm enjoying them more than i thought possible.
@spitfiredealer - I feel your pain. I don't know how I survived last summer, but i'm sure glad the contest finishes before the temps and humidity get too bad down here.

I gave these 2 washes in the past two weeks. It's been about 2.5 months since the last wash. I've been wearing them steadily throughout the summer, double-roll cuff high-water style. They were filthy with sweat, dirt and grime. They felt gross to wear. A wash inside-out as usual didn't get the face clean, so they got a 2nd wash right-side out. Not sure how many washes, about 15+, and 15+ months wear. The crotch has a full-blown hole. It aids in the air flow from ankle to the boys. I prolly won't bother getting them repaired.
This denim didn't shrink that much from raw, but it stretches out a lot after a hot wash + dry. They fit me great fresh the dryer, but after a couple of days they stretch out almost a full size and are really too big. I'm just wearing these for the contest, and once it's over I prolly won't wear them again.
The color in most of these pics is washed out. The faded areas aren't quite that white IRL, and they aren't that contrasty.

From a few weeks back; just forgot to post then. Everything from the knees down on the back side is pretty unreal at this point. I don't think I've ever gotten close to this kind of contrast in any other jeans.
