Stewart Copeland is credited for writing and singing this song. But the vocals sound 100 percent like Sting.

Nick Fucking Cave, ladies and gentlemen. I'm speechless…
Wow. Going to give that a proper listen later….

And we lose another innovator, another great… Ginger Baker
-
Saw Cream a few times, and was fortunate to be backstage at a Ginger Bakers Airforce show,at which he took a mind boggling drum solo, that was so intense that his shirt split open in the back. After the set I saw him backstage, went up to him,and said that was one of the most amazing feats of drumming I had ever seen, could I possibly have an autograph? To which he replied “Fuck off man,it’s not cool” and turned his back and walked away from me. Reluctantly I went to the Cream reunion in 2005,where he stole the show. He lived up to his reputation on both accounts.

Always a bummer to find out a celebrity, artist, etc. you're a fan of is a total dick or just an awful human in general.

He was a drummer… Have you ever met a drummer? They are all, without exception, bonkers. I wouldn't leave my son alone with my closest mate... Because he's a drummer.
They say never meet your heroes, they'll only disappoint you.
He could hit a skin though

I dunno. Dave Grohl seems like a pretty cool guy

I always thought so, but I did hear a really lame story about one of his performances at Hangout Festival. He said something like "I'm a rockstar! I just had 6 shots of tequila and 6 beers!" or some shit. Cool story bro. A forgivable offense in the end but kinda lame.
And as much as I like Nirvana, never could get into the Foo Fighters.
But drummers aren't any crazier than any other people. I mean look at Nirvana. Dave Grohl is alive and making a living as a pretty shrew businessman and Curt Cobain killed himself. They're people like everyone else, some crazy, some not.

Sounds like he was making a joke. The thing I like about Dave Grohl is that for all his success he seems pretty well grounded. I like that he's all about the music and came from a very modest punk rock background. Even cooler that he transitioned to becoming a singer/guitar player rather than a session drummer for someone else. I read his book, "This Is A Call," years ago and it's an interesting read. Part of his wealth came from Nirvana but it also came from owning his own label and having full control over his work rather than being a shill for major labels. Oh, and i'm sure touring has earned him a sh*t ton of money as well.

Foo Fighters are my absolute favorite band right now. Saw them after Dave Grohl had broken his ankle and was playing in a throne.I have to say I’ve seen just about everyone, and playing from that throne he had more heart, guts balls and determination, and did it for 3 hours. On another side while I was waiting to go to my seat at Saturday Night Live,he came running by with his giggling daughter in hand. Lately his daughter Violet has been singing with the band and he couldn’t be any prouder. Got to meet Max Weinberg once and he couldn’t have been any nicer. Told him I was playing in pain and he hooked me up with a doctor who specialized in treating musicians.
