We watched Galveston this weekend. Very dark and somewhat has the feel of Requiem for a Dream x Leaving Las Vegas. Might be up your street @den1mhead
Was really disappointed with The Irishman. So good on paper, but felt like a Scorcesse, Deniro, Pacino, Pesci self indulgence fest. It has its merits, maybe I set my expectations that bit too high.

@Stuart.T your hunch is correct. Watched it a while back with the Mrs and gets a from us.

We’ve got our tickets for Star Wars on Sunday! I will just have to avoid the internet for a couple days so I won’t get spoiled. I am pumped. All of the prequels and sequels have been a blast for me. But I’m a super fan. If there’s ships, droids, blasters, aliens, and lightsabers, with cheesy dialogue and a rousing musical score, I’m ALL IN.

I didn’t know that either but I’ve been informed that it’s Ford versus Ferrari for you in Canada?

Exactly. I'm guessing it was released as "Ford Vs. Ferrari" in the states, as well. The only other time I remember there being two working titles for a film was "Edge of Tomorrow," also known as "Live. Die. Repeat." Something I'll keep an eye out for in the future. And you're right, Le Mans 66 is a great watch.

It was. Been meaning to see it, but it's probably that I won't until it's available for streaming.

Finally got around to watching Alita Battle Angel last night and found it enjoyable. I went into it not knowing the source material and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't even know Robert Rodriguez directed it either until after the film. It's good to see more Anime/Manga film adaptations being represented in Hollywood too. Can't wait for the live action Gundam movie to hit the big screen

Watched Once Upon A Time in Hollywood last week and wasn't sure what to think. I'm usually a big fan of Tarantino's films but this one felt average. Maybe i'll warm up to it with repeated viewings
