IH-555-03 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Superblack (Fades To Grey)

I’ve noticed these are back in stock. Does anyone have any information on the shrinkage? The website states one inch in the waist and inside leg. I’m unsure whether this is a cold wash or whether a gentle wool wash at 30C would cause more than an inch of shrinkage in the inside leg. I generally don’t cuff jeans and a tag size 31 fits me fine in the indigo version of these jeans. I’m a 29 inside leg so I’m thinking a 30 or 31 inch inside leg. I’m really trying to avoid a hot wash though as it tends to destroy the leather patch.

Lower spin, and temps will limit shrinkage, but the best bet is to go with whatever your standard wash temp will be. So if that is a regular 40C wash then soak in fairly warm water and agitate, or just do the wash. That way no surprises in the future.
The suggested shrinkage is ballpark. In reality, and especially on a smaller tag size it will be less than an inch. However it is impossible to be precise as there are too many variables involved. Your best bet is to buy, soak/wash, then send them back for hemming. If you are in the UK that is a fairly quick turnaround.
Generally leather patches do fine in high temp washes if you oil them first.

Hi! One of our other members ran a shrink test, the results can be found here:

We also ran one in house, results here:

Crew, was the sizing chart updated?
-
@organisys yes it's been updated

How does this denim feel in comparison to 21oz OD? Similar stretch?

I think im going to grab a pair of these. Ive managed to lose over 25lbs so these would be a great reward for my hard work. These would definitely be the "skinniest" jeans Ive ever had but they dont look too skinny from the pictures everyones posted. I guess the only way to find out is to order a pair!

Waist/thigh ratio is the thing. Knee measurements are also important. If you have comparitavely big thighs they can be tough.
-
thanks @neph93 the thighs shouldnt be a problem, I just dont want them too tight around calves and down towards feet. Im doing a bunch of measuring with some other pants ive got to try and figure everything out.

Research is important! Shout out for tips if you need them @deanclean

@momo73 they look great with the mint green sweater. Excellent combo.
Ditto that statement! @momo73 that's one inspiring combo right there.
Been watching these beauts for a while, largely because I have similar slim black jeans. Pleased to share I've swallowed that pill and ordered myself a pair in 30''. I usually take a 31'', so only 1'' down from what I have, but given the measurements, and the advice on this thread, I am hopeful they will be a match made in heaven and good to go out of that brown paper bag we all love to recieve. Thanks guys!

Hi Hi !!!!
you did well to take a size down, because I size 32 and on this beautiful jeans I am in 31 and I feel really good.
