IH-555-03 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Superblack (Fades To Grey)

I think im going to grab a pair of these. Ive managed to lose over 25lbs so these would be a great reward for my hard work. These would definitely be the "skinniest" jeans Ive ever had but they dont look too skinny from the pictures everyones posted. I guess the only way to find out is to order a pair!
Waist/thigh ratio is the thing. Knee measurements are also important. If you have comparitavely big thighs they can be tough.
-
thanks @neph93 the thighs shouldnt be a problem, I just dont want them too tight around calves and down towards feet. Im doing a bunch of measuring with some other pants ive got to try and figure everything out.

Research is important! Shout out for tips if you need them @deanclean

@momo73 they look great with the mint green sweater. Excellent combo.
Ditto that statement! @momo73 that's one inspiring combo right there.
Been watching these beauts for a while, largely because I have similar slim black jeans. Pleased to share I've swallowed that pill and ordered myself a pair in 30''. I usually take a 31'', so only 1'' down from what I have, but given the measurements, and the advice on this thread, I am hopeful they will be a match made in heaven and good to go out of that brown paper bag we all love to recieve. Thanks guys!

Hi Hi !!!!
you did well to take a size down, because I size 32 and on this beautiful jeans I am in 31 and I feel really good.
good reception -
Just got mine today. Love them. I was worried they may be too skinny but they are perfect.
-
@deanclean looking forward to seeing some fit pics! Stoked that @Graham found you the perfect fit.

Boy these are damn nice jeans. Having tried both 30 and 31, I personally found the 31'' a better fit overall, I only have my 31'' 555-XHS to compare against, and found them almost identical. The waist feels a touch higher, which I like. Looking forward to seeing these beauties fade in time.

Good demo pic @GC
Thanks @motojobobo hope you are well bud!
I've never found it easy taking pics at a desirable distance with the iPhone camera! For this one I settled on using the timer to give me a few secs to move back. Better still, and in the interests of quality, I didn't use the front facing camera, so totally pot luck.

These aren’t great pictures of the jeans but it’s all I got. I turned 44 yesterday and got into a bunch of social isolating Guinness. I think the blue flannel and the jeans are a nice combo. Had to shave my head yesterday too. With all barbers closed it was the only option.

Thanks neph.

Tempted on a Corona cut myself, saves hassle.

I know it’s been discussed but I’m still a bit confused. I know these are unwashed and there’s the potential for shrinkage but it seems no one has discussed when that occurs? If I were to wear these new for several months and get them nice and stretched out and then soak/wash them would they shrink down to close to their new measurements? Or would they shrink past the point of where they were when I got them? I normally buy a 34” waist hoping to stretch them to around 35” so if I did just that and then washed them would I wind up with a pair that fits similarly to when they were new? Or would I lose an additional inch and wind up with a pair that measures 33” in the waist?

Buy a waist that 35 inches wash it go to 34 inches it will stretch back out to 35 inches..
I wear mine don’t wash for at least six months.. but. some wash first it up to you..

I normally just wear the hell out of my jeans until they need a wash but I kept seeing people talking about how these shrink a ton when washed. Is it recommended to wash/shrink these before I wear them? Or can I just do what I normally do and wear them for months with no washes? Will they shrink back to new measurements or shrunken measurements?

If it were me I would get my normal waist size and then soak them in warm water before wearing. Might as well take care of the shrinkage in length right away so you can wash them down the road and not worry about your fades shifting. The waist will stretch back.
