IHB-07 - Heavy Duty "Tochigi" Leather Belt with Brass Garrison Buckle
-
Does the natural age and darken over the years? Is there any image of the natural version after it aged? Would this belt suit a Chinio? I recently got the IH-721 Chinos in Khaki and would need a belt to go with it.
One more question regarding the sizing, I have the IH-721 in tag size 32 which is 82.6 cm. I see that the Base of Buckle Prong to 1st Hole is 86.4 for the large. Would this mean that I should get the size Medium? With the medium, the length is 100 cm which I'm unsure if that would be enough?

More or less the same leather….

Yes would suit Chinos...
I would get an L and shorten it to be perfect:

Thanks for the quick reply! So you mean to say by getting size L and then shortening it, I can eventually move the base of the buckle to the first, second or the third holes to the size of my liking. That would be good!
I had a look at the video, the shortening looks easy but what about the tools? I only have the hammer with me!

One quick question before I pull the trigger! Should I go for the natural or the brown? Will the natural darken over the years to brown? Will the brown darken over the years to a much darker brown?
-
The natural will do this:

Brown'll probably get a bit darker with time…

Wonderful! That is what I want! I will put my hands on one!

Had there been a restock of xl in natural on 14th April? Been waiting for these to come back in and checked regularly. Need a new belt and this is the one I want to go for.

@Giles sorry, missed your reply. Thanks, that would be great. I'll keep the crew posted.

The Natural Veg. Tan leather, 1.5" width and heavy Brass buckle put this belt on my want list months ago. As a proud blue collar worker that gets dirty/nasty on the regular I couldn't wait to subject this thing to the worst I can throw at it.
After one week of wear initial impressions are good. Measuring the thickness with a micrometer yielded an average of 4.2mm as advertised. Pictured below for comparison is a Natural Veg. Tan belt from Tanner Goods, San Francisco. CA. Made in the USA, measures 1.25" wide and clocks in at 4.5mm thick. One can get very familiar with a belt after 700+ days of wear but you wouldnt guess that +0.3mm would be noticeable. Nonetheless, I couldn't help but think this Ironheart belt felt a bit flimsy which is what led me to breaking out the micrometer. For $200 coupled with the Ironheart brand I may have dove in a bit blindly but when compared to the Made In USA $100 belt I'm a bit let down.

Nice belt…. its close to the top of my list also

This thing seems pretty damn solid to me! I have been wearing a naked and famous thick belt for the last 8 years or so. I already like this one more I think it may be a tad thinner but I find it much more comfortable right out the bag.
