Having not had to break in a pair of jeans in a while, I forgot how bloody rigid they are to start with

Tag 33. Out of the bag and pre soak. About an inch spare in the waist. Seat too roomy? Thank gents.

Rubbish photos. Sorry.

Thighs look great - which is the biggest obstacle on these. I say rock them and enjoy!
The top block will shrink more with a real

Thanks fellas. Yep. First pair. Moving slowly before the soak.

May I ask for some advice about these? I've just bought a pair of 666s-21, which I'm breaking in and love - perfect oversized fit and exactly what I was looking for, but have also been on the hunt for a solid pair of black, fade to grey, heavyweight denim, which are a slightly slimmer fit, but not skinny, and am wondering if these could be it.
To my eye, reading the measurements, in comparison to the 666s the 555s are a bit longer in the top block, and slimmer in the knee to hem - is that right? Is there anything else I should be mindful of? I did wonder about a pair of 777s (which I have in 21OD) but because of my super short inseam (27-29"), they almost lose the taper and end up a bit bootcut on me, which I'm keen to avoid.
Should also say there's only one left in what I think would be my size so temptation is strong…
Any thoughts/advice/pics very welcome - and thank you!

Polly. Yep you are spot on.
Did you run a size compare?

@Polly My first pair of 555-03 I hemmed too short, and then when they were soaked they shrunk, they still stayed pretty slim throughout in my opinion. If you look at this post here you can see how my new pair faired following a soak, just last week.
This is my old pair, a bit earlier this year. As you can see, probably a touch shorter than my preferred taste

Thank you, you lot.
Yes, @Giles I did a compare and it all looked in order. Am a little concerned about the rise, as I generally wear on my hips which already gives denim a slightly baggier look…
@AdamJ Yes, I'd actually looked at that post. A full 1" shrink in the inseam. I quite like how short they are in the photo tbh - but I think that's personal taste.
@neph93 Yes, and that's a bit of my concern - I don't want them too baggy in the arris.
Hmmm, think I might just have to go for it though, given there's only one left. If only IH did a sort of 777-555 hybrid. Low rise, slim through the leg, gentle taper… But I guess that's probably because these are more aimed at men, right?

If I size the 555 to be trim in the waist then I fill out the top block nicely but I have what I believe Americans refer to as «junk in the trunk». If you can manage the slim thigh then you could consider sizing down.

Sounds like you’re looking for the IH-NO-LOT over dyed jeans that were released recently. Have a look at those.
