Gosport "craftsmen"
About 2 years ago, we had new gates made and installed. I am fixing up some gate automation at the moment. And noticed that one of the 6 strap hinges had been installed like this…..
The other 5 were correctly done - how on earth does anyone think that that's a good job…..(luckily it's the middle hinge of three, so the least important to have been done correctly)....
If its any consolation, I worked on a dispute where in a luxury apartment block contractor forgot to connect the waste pipes up in the top five floors.
You can imagine what happened to the walls of the poor bastards in the flats below when people started doing massive dumps and flushing toilets…..

Yea, but 6 of them?

Hey, it has it's charm.
For sure…. I find it equal parts funny/scary that during our Saturday morning warm up last September we fit right in there. Huge English breakfast and pints of beer on the High Street follwoed by more pints and friendly chats in what turned out to be one of the dodgiest pubs in a town of very dodgy pubs.

Reminds me of Peniston St. in New Orleans. Someone got the exact green to, ya know… modify it
(and the repainted it every time the city fixed it)

Haha awwww no, the poor residents of that street must get an earful…

We have a road in Gosport called anker lane, the council just can't keep up with the regular nocturnal updates….
I have a student this year named Anker. It is an extreme test of my resolve and testament to depths of will power that I didn't know I had, that I have not made any of the obvious puns yet. It isn't like he doesn't deserve it either.
