Glad you managed to score one!
Not used it yet as when being going into the office, been using the Unicorn.
What do you think? I have not experienced Dyneema before…...

@cutlasshound I carried it Weds for a 3 mile hike with my daughter and it is a really comfortable bag. With our rain kit, snacks, and water it was about 1/3 of the way full but just super light with the futura harness. The materials are still really stiff but the bag has a very premium feel and it will soften up nicely over time. I think this is my 5th or 6th dyneema bag and my experience with the fabric has been very positive. My SDR traveller duffle is still my favorite travel bag and it has held up well despite some abuse. The dyneema stick it is really, really well done. I like the functionality of a beaver tail but hate looking like a mall ninja with all that molle. The way this bag can fold it up is just brilliant.
The bag might be a little more size-wise than I need for our outings but it is really well organized so things don’t get lost. I plan on carrying it again today with a similar set up and am looking forward to it. I think the bag will be a good travel bag once I feel brave enough to stick under an airplane seat [emoji2961] The bag should hold enough for a weekend+ with some creative packing.
My other backpacks are a Nomin I and a Bagjack Naturetec ruck which have set the bar really high but I think the MR can hang with them. Well, maybe not quite because the Nomin is such an amazingly beautiful and functional bag…..but really close. That Nomin though.....damn I do love it.
I still am a little miffed that my Unicorn order was cancelled (their online inventory management spoofed) because I think it would have been a better size and more my style per se. The Dragon does lessen the sting though and I imagine it will serve me well.

@Graeme that Kasperi bag is a lovely thing. If I didnt already need to cull the bag herd I would be looking into it.

@Anesthetist I reckon that your bag collection probably cost as much as the One Bag To Rule Them All!
I like simple packs, and the Dragon is way too complex for my tastes. I was eyeing up the Hyperlite Mountain Gear Metro Pack, which is at the other end of the complexity spectrum, but it appears to be sold out everywhere.
The Z-Packs Midway is another Dyneema bag that looks interesting, but it's possibly too small, and there have been some complaints on Reddit about their customer service. (If I was getting one, I'd add their duffle to the order.) I also like Le Sac Vvorker, unfortunately they don't offer shipping outside of Western Europe.
I'm tempted by the Kasperi myself, although the Frank Clegg and Lotuff bags seem a bit better finished. I also like the Racing Atelier Rucksack 1, though it'd be even more awesome if the used Hyperlapse (thin shaved leather with a Dyneema backing) for the body.

You may be right about that Graeme especially if you are counting luggage [emoji15]
Hyperlite makes killer stuff and wouldnt mind one of their bags but my next piece will prob be an ultralite from Alpine Ludites. I saw their pinnacle in x-pac and love it.
That racing ruck is FUNKY! I kind of like it but kind of have mixed feelings. [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]
And yeah the Dragon is way more complicated than my Nomin or Bagjack but variety is the spice of life. That being said, my bag storage area is getting pretty full. I’ll be piecing off a few at the least [emoji26]

I wanted to let everyone know that I decided to go with @Brock 's recommendation and went with a Bradley Mountain Wilder… But I do not care for the brown leather... so I wrote them an extremely courteous and polite email asking them to make me one with black leather, and 3 days later they responded saying that they had had plans to make a black canvas/black leather version. So I eagerly told them that I would "send them the money right now" for their prototype... and they sent me an invoice... So I guess in a few weeks I will own the first Bradley Mountain black/black Wilder

Well they just shipped it. So we will soon see. I have to be in New Jersey or Virginia a few days but I will show everyone in like 10 days or so. Or sooner. Or later.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow when the sun's out. Thanks a lot!!!

I gave the bag and my new shoes a hydrophobic treatment.

You’re gonna have that bag for so long mike!! [mention]Filthy [/mention] also, the dust cover bag makes for a great laundry sack when traveling [emoji6]

Thanks buddy. Yeah I was thinking about that. Or like an engraver. I have a carbide tip center punch I might use and see if that will work.

Just picked up a Kriega Trail 18 in black for motorcycle rides. Super comfortable with the front harness. Not the best choice IMO for work/commuting but perfect for long rides. And with Kriega's proven indestructibility.
