hi!
I have a question regarding the sizing, I had an older vest where the tag said 40, it became a bit too small for me, let's say I got buff, tried an old 44 and it's too big, so I need a 42 - but the tags say s-xxxl now, wich one would be a 42? I measured my other vests a bit and it seems I need a Large, just want to be sure though.
cheers!

Should I size my regular IH shirt L size?
I would say yes, although an XL would probably work too. The risk with vests is them being too short and shirt tails showing too much and flaring out under the hem of the vest. The IH-9526v is pretty long though so you should be good with an L.

Hello, I am not sure, what size to chose. I'm 5'10 and 82 kg. Most IH Shirts I wear in L, IHV-02-BLK Vest I also wear in L. I don't want to wear the vest over a jacket but over IH flannels. Is size M enough or better L? I am also not sure regarding the length, difference is more than one inch, maybe M would be to short?

If you were to wear over a tee/henley/sweater I’d ask where you wanted the vest to sit, over, on or under the belt? Either way, I think an M would fit you best, but would be way too short to wear with UHF’s.
You should compare the length of the vest with the length of your UHF’s. If there is more than - 3 inch difference then it’s going to look odd imho.

Thank you for the hint - that was my concern too. I think i need to go with size L.

I'm 5'11" 170lbs and wear a size L. It's about belt length (covers the belt) but quite roomy in the chest without looking odd. I can easily wear a hoody underneath. Usually I wear my Kersey, military serge or similar under it and it looks just fine. I would however definitely fit in an M as well. If you like it more tailored I would opt for M, otherwise L will do just fine.
Either way it's one bad ass m#$&@$.
