It’s no secret that we’ve long admired Pure Blue Japan’s exquisite fabrics, peerless cuts, and expert approach to the art of making denim. As we enter our tenth year of partnership with the brand we have launched a run of collaborative denim jackets.
Available in both Type II and Type III silhouettes, each jacket is cut from PBJ’s superlative, vintage-loomed, ‘extra-slub’, 17.5oz selvedge denim. The result is a beautifully tactile weave with a cascading, rain-like slub throughout. The kind of denim that, for all our rhapsodizing, truly speaks for itself.
Pure Blue Japan Broken Twill Jeans
Woven on vintage Toyoda looms, PBJ’s 13.5oz Broken Twill denim offers a softer hand and a more subdued texture than the brand’s usual line-up of super-slubby selvedge. The broken twill process (made famous by Wrangler back in the ‘60s) imparts a subtle zig-zag pattern upon the denim’s weave.
