We have a very bureaucratic waste management system in Norway. If you want to get shot of windows from the 1980’s or later, you can dump them intact and pay a certain sum per kg, or you can separate the glass, wood and metal out and dump them for free… we had two doors and seven double glazed windows to get rid of, estimated weight 300kg…. so that was my Saturday [emoji38]

@neph93 so taking a lump hammer to each panel of glass isn't considered an appropriate way to separate the composite parts I take it

Haha… That was actually my plan, and indeed how I tackled the first window. It then became obvious how messy and time consuming it was to dispose of the glass. With a little more care I could crowbar up the frames, pack the whole panes in tarpaulin and haul them to the dump. Actually took less time and meant I had the joy of dropping them two meters into a skip, and watching them explode.

Nah, just cut some wood for my grandpa. He has a huge garden with figs, Rosemary, Apple & Cherry trees… Had to also cut some old furniture and stuff. The deal was he cooks I do the wood work. It was a good deal for us both
The wood of course lands in the oven,
where we do the „after work“ part. Sauna also involved…
No better way to relax after a week of sitting in front of the screen all day.
