I have the new Submariner Sweater Coat that came first as a pre-order–-and happen to be wearing it right now. And it's just plain wonderful. This is my second Dehen piece and with each one I am more impressed and delighted. I really want their N-1 (or IH's version). So as soon as there are further reports, I will work harder on my personal N-1 Is Next Fund.

Got the Crissman Overshirt in loden moleskine. L there is similar to XL ironheart workshirt but more clearance in the chest. Got a black wool one on the way and a cardigan. Gonna live in the overshirts

@amin I have the classic cardigan in green loden love it. I wear size L in all the IH shirts I own. I went with the size medium in the Dehen cardigan. I ordered both a large and a medium when I bought it and felt the large was too wide in the shoulders and bulky feeling. Dehen stuff is incredibly well made.

Thanks for the info. Are you able to wear the cardigan over a UHF? Thanks in advance

@amin yeah I could wear it over a UHF. It’s a tight weave but does have some stretch to it that allows it to have some give when layering. That being said, I prefer to wear it over a t shirt or lighter weight long sleeve shirt like my wabash western. Wears great like that.
Thanks for the info. Still on the fence between XS and small so I am going to order both and return one.

Iron Heart has ruined me for all other vendorsI've ordered from two separate Iron Heart dealers in the USA who shall remain nameless, and it took 5 and 7 business days for my stuff to arrive, respectively. One the other side of the spectrum, you've got Rivet & Hide who rivals Iron Heart's incredible customer service. I placed an order on a Saturday, and even though it wasn't going to ship until Monday, I got a personal email within hours letting me know that my order was received, and it would shipped on the following business day. In no way did I expect to get anything beyond an automatically generated order confirmation email, but they took the time to personally reach out and let me know what was going on, and my package was delivered on Wednesday. That's the standard that Iron Heart has made me expect, and I'm also ruined now.

Yeah, IH retailers in my experience are considerably slower than Gosport. Getting a N1. I have an IH but the just cover different temperatures. I’m just perplexed. I would think (and concede i may have no idea what i’m talking about) that 1 person could comfortably open an email, grab and box the item, print and attach shipping label and throw in a pile in 10 min. Thats 6 items boxed an hour. 7.5 hour day. 45 items. I doubt they are filling more orders than that daily. I get it, things come up, people take sick days. No problem. Shoot me an email saying “sorry, stuff came up, we’re running behind.” I’d be satisfied. That was not the tone of the email i received when i asked for shipping confirmation after 4:business days.

We’ve got a limited amount of Dehen available. With good shipping, of course Additionally, we’ve just measured the sweaters and jackets.

@Wormspice I’ve worn a friends in the past. Take your IH shirt or N1 size. Quality is great. Super over engineered. I have an IH n1 and wear it all the time. The mouton in the Dehen is much thicker and is best for colder temps. For me i like my IH for 30-45F. Dehen will be for below.

Came here to look at opinions on the Dehen vs IH N1. I have the Dehen and I really can't imagine a warmer jacket. The mouton lining is really thick and lush. The one thing I don't love about it is how sticky of a hand the waxed canvas is, I wish it was a bit drier. It's gotten a little better since last year when I purchased mine but it's still a total dust-and-hair magnet and I'm still waiting for it to get a little less tacky to the touch. I'd also say that because the lining is so insanely lux, the appearance of the collar is a little more "fancy" than I'd prefer when I'm wearing it out. All in all though, just one of the most overbuilt garments I own. Certainly a lifetime piece.

Thank you guys for the info! I will definitely be on the lookout for a makeup I like.
@northeastwear - I understand what you are saying about the collar, I think the darker the color the less fancy it looks. I like your brown.

does anyone own the motorcycle sweater? I'm undecided about sizing, size S or size M? my chest is 37 inches
-
@Brunell you could go dmall or large. You’re right in between. See if the sleeve size pushes you one way or other. Definitely don’t need to layer under or over dehen garments.
The newest N1 in green and brown is not waxed. It is a 13oz shell instead of 10 to compensate.
