IH-526L - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo
-
This will be my next IH item. Love all the images.
How much does it shrink with wash?
Reason I am asking is that for the 526j-142ib (that I own) it says "sanforized and one-washed. Little to no shrinkage expected". For the 526L it actually says allow for some shrinkage.
Size looks great in L w/o shrinkage. But if it does shrink some I may go with XL.
Thanks lads.

Go xl if you plan to wash it hot, or L if it fits you right out of the bag and wash/soak it cold, best advice: measure your most beloved jacket and compare
-
measure is what i did as implied by my comparison to the 526-142ib. Its just one is washed, the other one is not. Hence I need an idea about shrinkage. Based on how I use my stuff I will definitely need to wash…
Hold up - what is this thread: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=5004.0
There are tow IH-526L threads under jackets. What is going on? Different items with same number?
-
The other thread is the older version of the jacket.
I would go with XL and hot soak it, hang dry then wear damp to set perfect creases.
Cheers. Will do that.

Curious about the 19oz Lefty fabric. I know it’s stiff as a board and tough as nails…but once it’s been beaten down…will it ever become as soft as say a 25oz XHS? Or is this beast going to have teeth for the life of the jacket?
Mine is broken in but still a beast. It's more pliable and fits like a glove- almost like it tailors to its wearer due to the folds. Easy to put in and take off…but nothing like XHS soft.
-
@Mizmazzle it will never get as soft as a XHS, it will stay crispy but however it doesn’t feel like a cardboard anymore after a while :p @Perpetual_beta shrinkage is no given number, so when you’re in a position where you have to wash it go xl so you don’t have to worry about the shrinkage

Love it when those electric blue’s start popping off🟦
Looking good in such a short amount of time @Kasi ️ -
@Kasi you could document the fade progress by number of containers instead of the mundane # of days worn!
