Finally was able to snag a pair of these! They were worth the wait. I love the brown accents on the black leather. Really a sharp look that can be pulled off in many different style environments.
For sizing reference I am a 9.5D in Alden Indy's, 10D in Allen Edmonds dress shoes, and a 10.5 in Adidas sneakers. I purchased these in 10D. Wearing a pair of the IH Work Boot socks these fit perfect in all dimensions. I probably could have fit into a pair of these in 9.5D with thinner socks, but I don't think that would have made sense considering these are work boots. IMHO these are a little too "heavily constructed" to wear with thin socks, unless you have some pretty tough feet.

I just received a pair of these and they are insanely beautiful. These are my first Wescos and will not be my last. Just trying to get a confirmation on the fit though. They feel pretty perfect, a bit snug through the mid section but not too concerned about that. What does give me a little bit of concern is the slight amount of heel slip. And I do mean slight, but is that going to get worse or better?
It's hard to tell exactly where my toe is in the toe box but I would say it's right before where the boot starts to round in, if that makes sense… -
Sounds like a perfect starting fit to me. A little heel slip is entirely normal and in lace ups will occur due to the stiffness of the new leather and stitching in the uppers, heel cup and sole. The boot hasn’t started moving with you yet. As the the break in progresses it will diminish. The rest of it sounds great. You are now about 10km from heaven.

Let's see some pics @zhivago ! Glad you were able to score a pair that fit.

Thank you @neph93 That was pretty much my inclination but hearing it from you really helps out a lot. These boots are not a small investment for me and I want to make sure I get it right!!! 10km from heaven :D!!!

Thank you @Palmer for your kind advice, it really takes a village with me sometimes
I'll get some pics together in the coming days! These boots are just too beautiful to not photograph!! Cheers -
Any thoughts of these being made with horsehide?
-
I have a Steerhide pair in production at the moment, pretty much the same build with a few minor tweaks.
Hopefully here before Xmas
How will the steerhide version differ from the ones available now? Any other new boots coming in?

If I’m reading Adam’s post correctly he has a his own pair of custom made steerhide boots en route, as opposed to a production run for retail.
As for other boots coming in, I do not know.

Check out the Standard & Strange x Wesco Axebreaker. It's basically the same build with horsehide leather and speed hooks.
