IHSH-260-PPL - Ultra Heavy Flannel Tartan Check Western Shirt - Purple Rain

Really surprised to see this is still readily available in most sizes. Some great colourways this year but, for me, this is the killer.
Where are you? UK has sold out of quite a few sizes.
Am a little surprised at how long the arm measurements are, am hoping it fits as there are no xxl left and the xxxl that should fit my chest measures at least an inch longer in the sleeves than my cpo jacket and cordura work shirt.
-
@Alex_24 There's also a work shirt version coming if I'm not mistaken, it could have slightly larger measurements.
-
(Didja' ever run into one of those really expensive home front emergencies that steals all the extra cash? I'm hoping for another UHF this year now when I'd budgeted for two.)
-
I always feel bad when a shirt I really want doesn’t come in at the size I need. Even more so when I fill in the form to show interest. I’m still debating now… if Self Edge get my size. But it’s just a half inch under.
-
@joephoto, in my experience you can easily get a half size shrink from a hot wash, even without the dryer. Just something to consider.

Beautiful shirt. Thoughts on fit, fellas? Large, but a little tight under the armpit, even though there seems to be some room there. My large IHSH 247 was a better fit from the get go, and the measurements are marginally smaller; P2P on this 21.5 compared to 21.7; shoulders 17.8 compared to 18. Will this stretch out? Shrink? Do I need XL? Thanks for your time.

I think it will relax after some wear …I would just say, wear it hard and wash it cold.
IMHO it looks good on you man. Nice fit -
Looks good but looks a little tight over the shoulders, which will affect how it feels across the chest. It won’t stretch but will shrink on anything more than a very gentle 30C wash.
I would consider sizing up and then giving the XL a hot wash. You’ll end up with a shirt inbetween the L and XL measurements and that should be perfect for you.

Now, neophyte that I am with regards to IH, I know the source of this advice means it has to be taken. Here’s hoping that there are XLs still in stock Monday. It’s quite the science buying things on here, isn’t it? Thanks to all.

It is, I think, a marginal call, but it seems a wise one. Thanks.

@Richard it can be complicated [emoji1]I just think that any shrinkage at all (which isn’t unlikely) and it will be too small to wear.
Lol regarding the complication. But it’s a seriously lovely shirt, so any trouble is worth it. Have emailed IH. If the XL is still available, it will be the first ever XL item I’ve brought. I’m mostly a small…...... But these measurements are so precise, and margins so small.

My wife has shirt envy. I have a Pendleton shirt that I bought off eBay but was not the listed size was too small. Vendor didn’t want it returned at their cost to the USA so my wife has it. Will now have to see how it measures up against these shirts to see if I can buy her one of these. She keeps complaining IH should make women’s garments.

^yep I grabbed a XXXL soon as they dropped too.
welp.. apparently in my haste whilst ordering this shirt I selected DOUBLE-XL instead the TRIPLE-XL. I was excited to receive my first UHF & then bummed to find out I goofed.
Silver lining… UHF is amazing to get a hold of for your first time & the colors on the 260 are lovely. Thankfully SelfEdge has a few XXXL's in stock so I ordered ordered one from my trusty ol' US plug
